For the 'plastic tubes', do they come at least made of recycled plastic? and/or made of bio fibers like corn, so it's still effective in that same format, but demands less plastic? (understandably probably expensive if it does, but since agroforestry already is expensive...) Thanks!
estimados es un tema de interés global y ustedes creen por lo que uno puede ver en este video, que el mundo es todo anglo parlante no pueden hoy con ya un cuarto de siglo 21 consumido brindar una traducción multi lenguaje?
If an input not certified organic is used in miniscule amount as a one time rooting solution, Can a soil test or plant tissue test remediate this noncompliance?
Amazing information. I used to farm in Panama (same climate and soils) and it was so difficult to get practical information from similar tropical contexts. Thank you!
I see my type of language with this demonstration presentation. How does Rodale institute support differently abled, disabled individuals, who special interest in climate, resiliency and environmental sciences and arts AND to integrate to employment around these topics?
I hope this goes mainstream because organic is always more money when in fact if done right they can create more for less with regenerative ag practices. So it’s like , “why am I paying more for this again?”
Thank you so much for this video. I'm a new subscriber. Very quickly..Is it ideal to leave the ready compost outside where the rain can touch it or I must continue to cover with plastic trampoline till I'm ready to use? Thank you!
Very good data on breakeven costs for corn and soybean crops. Continuing to increase crop yields without profits will not do conventional farmers or our environment any good.
1) The world is not running out "fossil fuels" 2) So called renewable energy is more costly than fossil fuels by itself and will only compound the the so-called problems that narrate this "green new agenda conversion" - with the exception of Nuclear Fusion as a prime energy source (which isnt being offered at scale) there is no better abundant, affordable source of energy than oil and gas currently (no matter how crooked and corrupt the industry is); I got news for everyone..... the earth generates its own hydrocarbon sources (oil, gas & water); the planet has never run out of resources BUT what does pass and continues to pass are civilizations which come and go while the planet stays in tact; "Fossil Fuels" was a manufactured term to create the appearance of scarcity because all living things are hydrocarbon based with an expiration date; so globalists, coined the phrase "fossil fuels" to support the relationship to expiration.....Im in the compost business and we use the ASP method for repurposing food residuals and we are against AD / biogas conversion unless its used to support farm operations; If food waste is / are hydrocarbons and requires combustion to convert it to biogas then why are oil & gas (hydrocarbons) considered bad for the environment when we burn those for energy.......There is nothing "GREEN" abut renewable energy.....do you think conflict mining stops for the all the metals and minerals needed to support this "BS" green new agenda with solar panels, windmills etc - not to mention the "new green sustainable infrastructure" needs to be backed up by a reliable fossil fuel source -
Congratulations to all of you for your success. I am from Eritrea, Horn of Africa. Thanks to Rodale Institute Management for attending the Transition to Certified Organic Agriculture course on line and graduated with you. I wish you success.
This is the BEST farmer training video I have ever seen. Good Job! I would continue to send this far and wide........the young farmers personal statements are everything!!!
U also forgot to add that u need 3 to 8 times more land area to produce the required compost needed to grow that produce. Alot of compost is needed to grow anything and for the required nutrient value. Areas dedicated to animal rasing for the manure, trees for wood chips, and waste produce to create that compost. I think there is a place for it, but large scale, heavy production of food needs conventions methods
