@@Dupdopy Great news! So you used Cedar motor with its original pinion gear? Or has the pinion had to be replaced with the one that comes (if it comes) with Meus 2 speed? Cedar motor has 1.8mm shaft. Meus writes on their website, that Meus 2 speed is compatible with all 2.0mm shaft motors. That’s where my concern was from.

@@robertgorgol253 Yes, Cedar motor and its original pinion gear. The only thing I had to do is take the pinion gear off, rotate it 180 deg and attach back. This is necessary to reposition the grub screw that holds it. Otherwise the gearbox gear would go over the grub screw. I measured the Cedar shaft and it is actually 2mm. I double checked =) It was my main concern as well. But in any case, the Cedar factory pinion gear works just fine with Meus 2-speed gearbox.

@@Dupdopy Thank you 🙏 These informations are very helpful. I measured the Cedar shaft with the pinion gear on it, between the pinion gear and the motor itself. It was quite hard to get there with the caliper, must be the reason of my inaccurate measurement. Anyway thanks again, I’ll give the Meus 2 speed a try :-)

@@robertgorgol253 Sure, happy to help! Maybe there was a change in the shaft dimensions. Not sure. Also, the shaft has a D shape. I measured at the widest point. 2-speed gearbox is cool! Crawl when you want and be really fast (for a crawler) when you feel like it =)

Late reply, but - if you set the buffer to minimal settings, then you most probably won't notice latency. RTL on my system is around 7ms or so. Don't remember exactly. A lot depends on your CPU - the faster it is, the lower buffer you will be able to set. If you want to have ABSOLUTELY lowest latency, then look at the RME cards. On a different PC I run RME Babyface Pro FS with a minimal buffer with a 3.4ms RTL. Don't forget that you can increase the Sample rate. The higher it is, the lower will be the latency. But that will require higher CPU usage.

+ViTAR30 Я реальный тоже тестил. Скажем так, это не самый круто преамп сам по себе, имхо. Но эмуляция мне понравилась. Очень приятно играть.

+ViTAR30 пропусти ламповый преамп через импульс будет тоже самое. Подметил очень верно - оконечник + трансформатор + кабинет и микрофон очень серьезно вытягивают звучание. Особенно сильно в нижней части спектра.

+Vadim Taranov мне понравилось как полные усилки через торпеду лайв звучат, но подозреваю ещё очень много зависит от пост-обработки.

Вячеслав Лысенков Привет, На данный момент нравится комплект 9-52. Раньше играл на 10-56. Мёртвой зоны не замечал, но и строев у меня таких не было. Вторая струна, это которая Си (в стандарте)? Могу конкретно это струну настроить как скажешь и проверить. У меня также есть RG2620 старой версии, махагоновый. Могу и там проверить.

To me, clean sound is totally fine. You can also look into coil-split options for even better clean. In the end, it depends on what music you want to play. As you want to get a 7-string guitar like that, I believe you are not planning to play blues or country with it. Which means, you are getting it for metal, right? In this case, the cleans it produces are just fine :)

Joaquin Moreno Antuña It's a great guitar, I would suggest buying it. It has 26,5 inch neck, which gives a little bit more string tension, so it is great if you have strong attack with your right hand. Let's see, maybe I can record some clean stuff this or next week. But you should not wait - get it. It's really good.
