If you are manually turning it and it stops, then you likely have internal damage unfortunately.

Bc the barb has a flat metal backing that cannot contour to the curve of the metal pipe. You would never get a seal. The silicone can compress/stretch to flatten with the backing of the barb for a perfect seal.

They called me a gas lighter while simultaneously gas lighting the community with their misleading video. They used a video example of a car with dsg clutch slip that was on an apr file claiming it was jackal They used a video of another car with clutch slip that was already known to have a slipping dsg prior to being tuned and blamed it on jackal They presented cherry picked data from 4 maps out of 16,000 while ignoring all of the other things jackal does to keep their tune safe. Oh, and the file they benched this information from is over a year old and has already been updated multiple times. They used screenshots of a comment made by Matt Barrington from a Facebook thread that were taken completely out of context. Even the person he was having the conversion with has spoken up saying he was under no impression Matt was trying to say what 034 is implying and that the comment was being used out of context. So yea, 034 wasn't being 100% honest about their claims in their video and they stooped down to a low level just because a two-man tuning company was doing well and becoming a competitor. Keep in mind, jackal has never said a bad word to the community about 034. In fact they often recommended their hardware to people. But if you've been in this community long enough this isn't a surprise. 034 is known for aggressively going after competitors and using their reps to be ultra protective of their image. But this video is still a new low, even for them.

Yep! Any data reader that gives you an accurate fluid temperature works. I use obd11 these days for 99% of things. Good luck!

@Sle3p520 something that is proven time and time again to be superior. Example: Jackal motorsports being superior in performance, customer service/support and pricing. Need more explanation? Also 034 feels the need to smack talk competitors and even fabricate narratives to try to convince people they are better. Super petty public relations on 034s part, just watch their little vlog videos, it'll become clear very quickly that 034 is alienating themselves from the community by being petty little children rather than just acknowledging that they aren't the end all be all greatest and only name in the market. It's like watching a bunch of kids who have bad sportsmanship complain about getting 2nd place

It stems from the Facebook groups. 1) jackal had a grassroots movement 2 years ago that pushed them into the B8 community in a big way. This lead to people discussing which tune was better between 034 & jackal 2) For the set part, things were always civil. Then Javad of 034 made comments on two of their live streams that ignited a huge response. He called Jackal "fly by night tuners" and he called people supporting jackal "Jackal Nut Swingers" 3) javads comments about jackal, who have never attacked 034, spilled into the forums where things got toxic fast and have remained so into the present. 4) over the last 6 months we have seen a massive uptick in 034 going after jackal in random posts from their reps on the forums. 5) released a video this week that makes serious allegations against jackal that attack their tune & their integrity. They also mentioned me in the video claiming I was a "gaslighted" (hence me getting involved). They used out of context screenshots, videos of cars not even using the Jackal tune, videos of cars with pre-existing issues before being tuned, and data presented as facts in a scary way that omitted other data that would have shown it to be a non issue. 6) Jackal made a response via their Facebook page yesterday. It's shitty, but I refuse to let 034 get away with attacking me or jackal while using deceptive tactics. I'm sorry if this bothered you or anyone else and understand if people leave the channel as a result. But I have plenty of 3.0t content coming if you stick around 🤘🏼

Even though it puts a tuning company I really like in a bad light (034), I appreciate you taking the time to fill me in. My wife and I bought our B8.5 S4 in 2016 for her daily. We have kept it stock since then and now I bought her a new car for the family wagon. I'm honestly searching around for something other than APR the past year or so because APR was the gold standard when I got into Audis in 2003. I left the Audi scene for years and years. I feel like rip van winkle at times. I'm just catching up that ECS is somehow "bad" for parts. I've been using them for maintenance and I just found out about FCP Euro a few months ago. I guess I'll look into Jackal now and weigh my options. It's sad to see things like this happen, and good on you for all you do for the community. Cheers and have a great weekend.

I obviously have my personal views for my reasons, but I encourage everyone to do their own research for themselves and do their best to be objective in reaching a decision for what's best for them. I would wager that the majority of 034 customers are happy with their tunes. But I think what everyone can agree on is that 034 has engaged in dirty politics against a competitor. They used information out of context in their video, as well as examples of cars to bolster their claims that weren't even running a jackal file, or already had pre-existing conditions on the vehicle before it was ever tuned that everyone was aware of.

Mine is a 2014 A7 155k. I have the valley opened currently as I’m swapping Pcv, thermo, water pump, and decarb. I do have plugs. Do I swap both plugs out with 2 of these check valves and if not which 1 do I swap? Btw. I’ve been watching your channel for a while now. I bough my a7 in 2017 and have done all of my maintenance and repairs so I feel like I know you now. 😂 I really appreciate you bro. Technically you have 4 choices to get around this: -replace with oem replacements when the time comes -gut them -install test pipes -install long tube headers

I get all my exhaust stuff from Canadian Auto Performance. It depends on the rest of your exhaust but I'd get their large resonator mid pipes

I believe so. There is a v-band connection on them that makes for swapping out that section easier.

It only proves things if you believe 034 at face value. Keep in mind jackal has over 20,000 flashes done with no one complaining about engine failures or major complications as a result of their tune. Then ask yourself this: Why is a company as large as 034 going out of their way to attack the 2-Man company who has never attacked 034? The same company that has always recommended 034 Hardware parts? Who do you think has more to lose in this community if their tunes are actually unsafe? The corporate owned 034 with huge amounts of money behind them, or the two guys that are doing it themselves? Also, 034 used examples from one car that was running an apr file, and another that is well known to have had dsg issues before he every modified it. There is a lot of misleading information being pushed to get a narrative out into the community by 034 and it's incredibly unprofessional. The truth is that 034 is ultra protective if their image, and they were upset about what certain jackal customers were saying in the forums. Instead of letting their products speak for themselves they decided to put out a smear video against the company itself. The fact that Javad started off their video mediately calling people Jackal Nut Swingers AGAIN should tell you the true intentions of their motives. Jackal will have a response posted on their social media pages soon.
