Hi there!! We’re Megan and Mike! We love to hike and explore the beautiful outdoors with our pup, Duncan.
We have a HUGE bucket list of places we want to see. Driving along Route 66, visiting every National Park and everything in between!
So far, Arizona has been our favorite place to explore. The breathtaking Red Rocks stole our hearts and Fall 2022 we got married in beautiful Sedona. With that was one EPIC adventure!
We hope you enjoy all of our tips and tricks to traveling to help you on your adventures. We have lots planned so stay turned and make sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram as well!
@@nancygilliland4002 having full time jobs, we were unable to take a whole week on the coast. So this video is to help people who have limited time, make the most of their day!
I climbed Bell Rock dozens of times when I lived there. My last hike up was on a visit in 2018 at age 56. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-U3q1KlatAgY.htmlsi=P-X7egrvZqt_K4GA
I’m from this area and I don’t know about the rest of the United States but the whole Savannah River channel has ghost towns under them Hartwell lake has Andersonville under it.
Growing up, Megan rode on the back of her Dad’s Harley and was always at the stores with her Dad and just continued getting the shirts so it’s become a tradition to get a new one in each state we visit. We’d love to have one one day!
As experienced hikers, we always wear our grippy shoes and show respect when exploring. It can be frustrating when someone nearly knocks you over on slippery rocks, even with grippy shoes which don’t help with stability in this situation.
We like the sound of that!! Or maybe Mike does, Megan on the other hand is a bit of a scardy cat. We will have to find one for a Spooky Adventure soon! 👻
This hike is on my list for next months visit with the family. Megan, I completely understand your freezing while in the cave. I'm usually pretty good with these hikes but on my last visit to Utah I completely froze up with fear while descending the "sneaker route" into Coyote Gulch. Luckily I was on guided photo tour and with our guides patience and help, as well as some peer pressure, I was able to make it down into the canyon. Knowing the other 2 guys made it down and if I turned around I'd ruin the trip for everyone certainly pushed me past my comfort zone! Been liking your videos as I try to refamiliarize myself with some of these hikes.
Wow that sounds scary, but so glad to hear you had a great and safe time into Coyote Gulch! The Birthing Cave was so cool to be inside, but the walls were slick with little to grab onto. Mike was much braver than I was, but we had a great time from both of our viewing points ☺️ we recent put out a new video “Our Top 5 Hikes In Sedona” hopefully it can help you with some more Sedona hikes! It’s truly a beautiful place to hike, thank you for watching! ☺️
We are going at the beginning of August. I noticed you have some drone shots. I also plan to fly my drone there also. Great job guys! You got a new subscriber.
Thanks so much for following along with our adventures!! We are glad you enjoyed our video, there is some great scenery to catch on the drone there! We hope you enjoy your trip in August! ☺️
I'm 66 years old and I remember F-Troop TV series in the 1960's. Very good video. I remember the Eagles band sang about Winslow. Oh, is Dunkin a Yorkshire? My family had two when we were growing up - good dogs. I'm a fan of Cars as well. I didn't know it was based on that location. Good to see the tow truck and the police car - ha. I worked for Kingman hospital during the summer of 2015 as a traveling ultrasound tech. I highly recommend Oatman next time you do a video. It's a long road to a small town in the hills but it is worth it.
Hi thanks for watching!!! Yes, Duncan is a Chocolate Yorkie and the best adventure buddy!! Mike found out so much awesome info about how some of the stops were based on the Cars movies & how the movies were inspired by RT 66, so cool! We were so bummed to miss Oatman, it was in our plans, but we spent so much time exploring each stop, the day got away from us. It is definitely on our list of places we MUST go to!!
Hi, thanks for watching! Mike was so excited to see Twin Arrows, we were so bummed to see one had fallen when we got there. Oatman was the stop we were super pumped for in AZ, we definitely plan on going back one day and being able to stop there! Our research on the town had us so excited about it!!
@Adventures of Megan and Mike you guys will love it. Just, um, watch your step lol. The road between Oatman and Kingman is a great road to explore. There's an abandoned mine right next to the road and there's a store on the Kingman side that is a must stop too. The road is very twisty and sandy so be careful.
Nice video. Was supposed to go recently but had to cancel. Hope to make it later this year. Thanks so much for sharing your visit to this beautiful area.
Thank you so much for watching!! It took us a bit to get here, we’ve been getting so much rain on the weekends, so we jumped at the opportunity to visit on a beautiful sunny day! We hope you enjoy your visit Helen when you get the chance! ☺️
We were soooo bummed that we didn’t have enough time left to make it to Oatman. We were so excited for that stop! Hopefully, we can get a chance to see Oatman in the near future!!!
Hi Robert! We were staying in Sedona, so we had to drive through Flagstaff again to get back to our next Route 66 stop, but when it comes to coffee we’ll always go where we need to for a great cup!
@@robertdodd8169 LOL we get that! If we are pressed for time, it’s not something we’ll usually do. Thank you for watching our video, we’re so glad you are enjoying!! ☺️ lots more adventures to come this year!!
Love your content! We live in Tucson and love it here! I’ve been on the lookout for a Gila monster too. It’s pronounced with a H sound, Hee-la monster.
Tucson was absolutely beautiful!!!! We love every part of Arizona we’ve visited so far, and thank you for teaching us on how it should be pronounced!! ☺️
Very nice tour of Charleston and more. Loved learning about that huge tree! Now we have to visit it.....Haven't been to Charleston yet either, so that Rainbow Row was very cool. Love seeing the drone images and lighthouse. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much for watching our video! We are glad you enjoyed it 😊 for having a short amount of time there, we tried to do as much as we could!! This was our FIRST time using our drone, it was so much fun!! And the tree was pretty EPIC to see in person! We hope you get the chance to explore there soon! 😊
You guys are in an area we havent been, we do a lot of RV camping, someday we will make it out your way. But for now we are creating a bucket list for places out west. Seeing those ruins in the video was really cool. Loved the beauty in the area you guys had hiked. Nice cabins too! So, we had subscribed your channel as it looks like we both could use some channel support. Hope you will return the fav. Looking forward to looking thru you channel for places to visit. Thanks for the video share, it was very nice to see Arizona.
Hey there! Thanks for subscribing to our channel, we gave you one back! We’re so glad you enjoyed our video. It was a last minute hike to take on our last day in Sedona, so we are glad you enjoyed it as much as we enjoyed hiking it!! We went in the beginning to mid October, the leaves were staring to change and the views were breathtaking! We hope you get the chance to hike West Fork Trail, it’s a great trail! Thank you so much for watching and subscribing! ☺️
That's funny a 10/10 cheeseburger as you where wrapping it up after 1 bite! Hahaha. Great video by the way. Glad I stumbled across your channel. My bucket list is to travel RT66 with my 2 sons some day. I actually live in Chicago like 3 miles from the beginning of RT66.
Lol the cheeseburger was great! But lots of bugs when eating outside and I wanted to protect my burger why we filmed from them 🤣 .. we’re so glad you enjoyed the video!! It was so much fun to make! You have the perfect starting point for the RT 66 journey!! We hope you get to take the trip with your sons, from our time on the route, Arizona was our favorite! We can’t wait to explore the rest of RT 66 someday! ☺️
@Adventures of Megan and Mike I hear ya! Yeah definitely will try to get it done in the next year or so hopefully. I subscribed and will checkout more of your videos. Thanks for the reply 👍
