I was an 11-year-old Hungarian boy in Budapest, and I didn't even understand what the adults around me were happy about. I'm going to point out that the announcer said at the end: the referee didn't award the fourth Hungarian goal because he didn't believe that the Brazilians could score four goals. And now I can finally see this match again, and it's amazing how much the game has changed since 57 years have passed.
Very disingenious to edit together two different scenes that happened at different times in this game. Look at the first angle when Puskas scores. There was a Hungarian player visible in the center. But in the previous scene there wasn't a Hungarian player anywhere near. We also never see the complete scene because footage of this does not exist. So we cannot possibly know if this was offside or not. Just as a reminder, being leveled with the last defender meant you were still offside at that time. Not that it matters, but I just mention this because most people don't know.
For a team that just came off of a war, fighting the once greatest team(which had puskas btw), defeating England 7-0(which was better than the korean team), having 40 shoots and only having conceded 9 goals??? Impressive stuff
Os primeiro e segundo gols da Hungria foram belíssimos! Totalmente merecida a vitória da seleção húngara! Essa seleção brasileira era simplesmente horrível. Apenas Tostão e Jairzinho jogaram razoavelmente bem nessa partida. O goleiro Gilmar também jogou bem, evitando uma derrota ainda maior fazendo grandes defesas. Todos os demais, abaixo da crítica!
