I think the audio of this should be isolated, and put on Spotify or iTunes and sold with some or all of the proceeds going to St. Jude’s. Remove the Bobby Bones tag at the end, nothing against him, but just the sone itself. It doesn’t need to go into the studio…this was a one and done…
Apologies Hector. This was a screen recording on my phone because I loved this cover and could not find a savable version online at the time. Blame me for the end, I tried to trim it down best I could but couldn’t make it work without cutting off too abruptly.
This was one of my mother’s favorite songs. It was her attitude towards life put to music. We played it at her funeral when I was 18. I still can’t hear it 18 years later without crying. She was by all definitions an ordinary person who made an extraordinary difference in her little corner of the world. It was standing room only at her funeral. 700 people attended. A “stay at home”mother of three one with special needs, and that is how far her life reached into the lives of others. Because she never sat out. She volunteered and encouraged and when others quit hoping she danced. This song is beautiful. 😢
You wrote this so beautifully. What a remarkable way to be remembered. I love how you mentioned that she “was an ordinary person that made an extraordinary difference in the corner of her world”… That’s beautiful. ❤
Sweetheart that's a beautiful tribute to your mother remember love never dies but you dance like your mother and know you will meet up done the line I can tell how much you love her I loved mine too and 14yrs after losing her there's not one day passes that I don't shed tears I was blessed to have her and my father too life is so short and the winter of it arrives too soon so we've just got to chin up and dance on and know there are many who have never known such love so we were blessed Jesus knows what he's doing ❤❤❤❤
I know this song was written for daughters, but as a mom of 2 boys this song resonates greatly and makes me tear up everytime I hear it. We all hope our children dance thru this crazy life with kindness, confidence, and hope.
