Have you been able to remove white outlines around cmap reveal text? Not the overlay I mean the text on the vector chart, I cant seem to find that settings anywhere.
I just got the eagle 9 as well as pair first bass boat, an 88 ranger 393v. Having issues finding the right spot for the giant transducer. I found I put it at the very bottom of the deep v and I have placed it at the back of the transom. Both spots will read beautifully clear when in motion at higher speed, but when just sitting or anything below 5mph, the 2d and scans are so cluttered. Maybe any pointers? I appreciate this video, my unit has the cmap, now I wish it had the reveal!
I just got this chip and playing around with it. How do you make the depths stay when you take the contour lines off… they are there until I move the map around and then they disappear
This will be a bit lengthy but I have to write this. I've watched my fair share of youtube videos about using sonar units in general and for specific reasons. Maybe we think alike but as you were going along showing the shading, views of cmap reveal with and without contours, there were many times where I felt like I was seeing things the way my brain wants me to see them. BUT....in your last section when you took off contour lines, used cmap reveal with shading and added the specific depth range....WOW I really appreciate your video and it will definitely help me in ways I didn't know were possible. Thanks!
Thank you. This is what I want from doing videos like this. I found a spot last year that I have never seen anyone fish using this. First time fishing I caught a 5 and a 6 and the area was loaded. It also had old stumps and logs which enhanced the area.
Man I stepped on and broke one of my Lews KVD CC2 composite cranking rods yesterday and I just happened to see last night an ad on Facebook that they have the Invoker Pro on closeout. Buy one get one free. So I’ve got the 7’ and 7’4” on order. You’re absolutely right about composites for crankbait fishing. I really like the KVD composites. I hope the Invoker Pro is as good or hopefully better. I love Ark rods. I’ve got a couple of the Cobb series. Liked and subscribed. Tight lines fellow Ark brother!
That sucks. The only issue I have ever had is duplicated waypoints if I have waypoints on my unit. You can go in and remove names from view of each waypoint to help with clutter. Not sure about routes and trails, I don't save any personally.
Just watched your Tournament fish, just wanted to comment on how well your video's are, not a blabbering idiot, just clean to the point fish talk. Thanks for posting the info.
Nice video, clean to the point, you were not acting like some idiot out there, nice calm narration, explained how you were fishing them, bait balls being key. I also being an Auburn, do appreciate tuning that part out! Around 18:36 you mentioned running over bait ball scattering the ball, I often do that intentional seems to fire up the fish, sometimes! Great video sir.
I assume you used wifi to do this if not can you tell me by what path you used. What im trying to do is upload the routes ive created on the app to my navionics card. Im having a hard time doing it and it makes no sense to have the app and still have to create the same route onboard the unit
Yes, I used WiFi. I am not sure about the routes. I know trails can be synced. But if the route is synced to the Lowrance then it should be on the unit itself, not on the navionics card. I don't think you can save anything on a card. I think they are locked to keep from erasing the mapping data by accident.
Great great video. Where did you purchase your z man jighead crappie hooks with the red hooks? Also what's heavier the 1/10oz or 1/15oz? I normally fish with the 1/16oz jighead.
HDS live is connected to internet and connected to you lowrance account. And you app is connected to the internet. Both can send and recieve the info to the cloud.
Hello ! What the name and size of that fishing line that you are using in this RU-vid video and what the name and size jig heads you are using and where you buy them nickel / red jig heads at please. May the Lord bless you and your family and your RU-vid page in 2023🙏🙏.
I was using suffix braid (10 lb) to a Sunline Sniper Fluorocarbon leader (8 lb). The jigheads are found at Waterfront Grocery on Guntersville Lake. I don't know the name but they are from a local that pours them. And they are 1/16 or 1/8 heads depending on the depth and current I am fishing.
This product worked for me. The most valuable aspect is the cutter covering the small gap where the prop attaches with the added benefit of the cutter blades. The small gap is where most thick grass would accumulate and catch more grass and bog the motor down. Thick matted grass will still accumulate on the neck part of the trolling motor and bog the motor and slow the trolling speed. you still have to lift the motor to get it off or go in reverse a bit to dislodge it. but it will fall off easy.
I'm new to the LS sonars even fishing electronics in general, my first set up I've owned. It's a killer set up on my kayak for sure! The details in the lvs34 along with gt56 side imaging is amazing. Looks better in person than all videos I've watched.
I'm a kayak angler mostly, mostly fish for bass, striper & crappie if I come across them. I just added electronics to my Hobie this past winter finally a 10" Garmin ultra with steady cast heading sensor & the lvs34 system. I've been fishing crappie little more often now because I will find them with my electronics looking for bass & structure. I have been using the Zmans micro finness stingerz but I have some of the shad fryz on the way. So 16th is best weight for the Zmans finness baits? I have bumble bee & white, I'll color the white with spike it marker's so I have more options. Then thier whatever color I want
I think weight is one of those comfort things. I know people who will only fish a 1/32 because of the way it sinks or stays higher up. I just have been fishing a 1/16th jig head. I will go to a 1/8th if I am fishing deep brush. it just helps to get it down faster. I know guys who use a 1/32 jig head but then add a split shot to help with depth. Just all about feel.
This was with my units. I have since used my phone and got some good footage. And if I would quit being lazy and finish editing, then I could post them.
@LeeRiverGuy yeah. And if you let it record for to long the file will corrupt. I had some good stuff catching Crappie but the file corrupted. I got it fixed with some software but the image was so bad.
