Let’s run a thought experiment… let’s say Jesus really descended from the sky to assume his rightful place, and to cast judgment on the world… where would that judgment start? With the seats of power and institutional authority, of course… now do those people have anything to fear from such judgment? Would they actually bend the knee and hand over all power to our lord Jesus Christ? I think not… especially with the life they have lived in order to gain such high places and institutional power… they’d do just about anything to prevent such things, now wouldn’t they? The funny thing is, if they would hand over that power and asked for forgiveness and mercy, they might actually have been granted it… but human nature is such a fickle thing sometimes… their attempts to cling onto their power and positions is the very thing that will cost them it and so much more in the afterlife…
