These signals are not that bad, except that 0% of drivers understand how to use them. Maybe in Tucson where they originated, but here the local hawk signal causes drives to immediately stop on flashing yellow while I still have a don't walk signal, and then they get annoyed that I am waiting and not crossing. So, I end up having to cross on the don't walk signal basically every time (I'm on a bike, I might wait if I were on foot)
Americans coming up with new crazy intersections for cars or added lanes on the highways but not realizing that the only way to reduce traffic is by providing alternatives... I mean who the f. is gonna ride their bike on that peace of s. small unprotected bike lane through there???
Matty Maroun had an opportunity to do the right things. Could have made meaningful contributions to programs for Detroits less fortunate, could have escrowed tens of millions of bridge profits over the decades for his own new bridge and the interstate connections he agreed to build. Could have worked with Canadian and U.S. government on plans instead of wasting years and millions of dollars on frivolous lawsuits. Now his family is left with his ugly legacy. Maybe they will forgo their luxurious lifestyle and give real philanthropy a go.
This is not needed 😂. If Americans streets were safer in the first place, then it should not. The US is so worried about drivers that it only does pedestrians after, making it unpleasant to walk.
Safe mobility for cyclists? If this was ever build in my Country there would be hundreds of protests as this is a murdering machine. A small painted line next to a 4 lane road. Just one guy has to check the intersection for cars and accidentaly slip into the cycle lane and you are basicaly death
The Gordie bridge should be enough but the footings on Huron Ch. are already built so may as well finish it. Windsor's not that big anyways. Soon its going to be as N.Y. the amount of bridges soon going up.
there are no bridge tower footings, only ramp columns that are supporting approach ramp. They have no permits approved to build anything, the building permits expired months ago and have no intensions on re-applying. Project is dead.
Lmao well this never happened. Matty Moron will never give up his monopoly. Who exactly was the idiot in charge of selling the bridge to a private owner? There had to be stupidity involved.
With this being published last year, how likely is it that Alcoa Highway will get 3 lanes? It desperately needs it! Although all those loops and ramps look like they lend to wasted space/land between them. Surely there's a better design in the works?
As much as this looks amazing, the speed at which TDOT operates in East Tennessee, this will surely not be completed until my Grandchildren will be able to drive. I am only 30 and dont have children yet.
