@ravilyr39 that's what i wanted to know if they sounded inside the apartments. pretty interesting though, they had speakers + voice. one room i stayed in had the white gentex ghlfw low frequency horn only.
@@KyokoKirigirie yep, they have speakers inside each unit which allows them to make emergency announcements. That happened a lot in this case. The supervisory alarm prevented the front desk from acknowledging, and so she had to silence the alarm about every half minute for hours. If she was too late and the horn sounded, she had to make an announcement. I'm sure it was miserable.
@ravilyr39 having a fire alarm system in an apartment is nice but this is the reality that comes with it so i get how everyone must've felt in this situation 🙃
I think that they have a system like this in one of the skyscrapers in uptown Charlotte NC. There was a fire at a restaurant there a few years ago and if you watch the newscast you can just about hear the same low frequency tone in the background coming from the building.
Voyage400 would love this system his highschool had this same message except it didn't have the "Do not use elevators" part of it and the system use the hi-lo or as someone pointed out to me in a different video it's the same sound as the ambulance in GTA 3
@@ravilyr39 People dont always read the description dude, make a pinned comment telling people to read the descripton if you want that to happen so bad...
I think nowadays it's important for all schools to have a PA mass notification system no matter what brand it is or how awful it may sound. Safety always comes first! So I'm gonna say now that Bogen systems should never be banned from schools.
My school has the 6th tone ringing 4 times for a normal bell, the 8th tone for a tardy bell, and another sound not included that sounds with the fire alarm
