do you have a link or do you know where you got (what size) on the two SS hinges used for the cooler hatch? I saw the gemlux latch link but would like to know more about the hinges if you can provide. thx
can't find a vid anywhere showing the install of the drain plugs which is so sketchy drilling below the waterline on my new SS. How deep/far did you have to drill- is the thickness in the transom the same of top where you installed the hatch?
I have come up with a way to have trim hole location plus 1/2 . I made a bushing for the trim pin to go through and it fits between the motor/trim mounting brackets on the outboard motor. This gives me 12 total trim angle positions . I have a Mercury 5 hp 4 stroke . It has 6 trim angle positions in the brackets. I can now set 1/2 way between the trim settings if needed.

@@hec0279 the bunks are bolted to the frame using bunk brackets and the solo sits on the bunks, it does not contact the trailer frame at any point. There are also rollers at each cross member so the nose doesn’t contact the frame when loading

I am waiting for solo skiff to go back into production I’m on a waiting list. But watching videos like yours gives me inspiration and how to set minds up. Congratulations your skin looks awesome
Wow great work love the hinged bait tank I think it needs a gas assist piston (like a one on car hood) with the boat moving the size of the cover will brake the plastic @ the hinges? Or maybe have the cover open sideways? Beautiful work 👏 👌
Gone Bananaz they do well on light chop, i wouldn’t take it out if it’s really windy or any waves over 1’. I’m sure it’s capable of more, but I don’t want to rush losing a rod/tackle or flipping

Thanks for sharing. I found that here on the west coast, the top speed is different when the water surface conditions change and it's actually slower in flat water. When there's a bit of ripples the Solo is faster, until the chop is big enough that it can't plane continuously. Fully loaded, I've hit 15.4 mph, but most of the time it goes 12.5-13.5 mph. Compared to the Hobie Revo 13, I sold before getting the Solo, it is a world of difference. I can cover so much water in minutes that took hours on the Hobie. The surf launching and landings are made easy, because of the power control. The best thing is how inexpensive it is to operate, it just sips gas. It get over 23+ mpg on regular gas. Absolutely, love my Solo Skiff.
