Mitch been performing when dickhead letterman was in diapers. He showed Mitch disrespect by grabbing his album and asking him if he wanted a squeegee. Letterman has always been a douche bag.
Dylan's punkness: Many here will know about his appearance at the Grammys to receive the lifetime achievement award from Jack Nicholson. Just before Bob received the actual award and stood there fiddling with his hat and uttered one of the most beautiful and enigmatic statements that had everyone talking and pondering for days, he torn through a blistering, electrifying version of Masters of War. This was on the very eve of the First Gulf War. So yes, this performance on Letterman is definitely punk. But his performance that night at the Grammys, coupled with his beautifully bizarre and incredible acceptance of the award, is absolute punk through and through. Watch it if you haven't seen it. It's on RU-vid.

I truly believe this is Tom’s signature song and that this is a career-defining performance of it-complete with Tom’s intro which displays his sense of humor when he says that On the Nickel has “a holiday feel to it”. That hilarious! Tom, playing his lounge lizard persona in the intro and then gives a deeply emotional performance. That’s why he is a genius
