That is a complete misinterpretation of psychology. It is not cowardice to do the right thing, nor is it brave to be inappropriate or violent. Jordan Peterson is a fraud and an idiot. He quotes scientific studies that have no basis and uses big words he doesn't understand to push his perverted truth and try to make himself look important. Only a fool would pretend to understand the Garbage coming out of his mouth.
I feel like on some level you know he is right, and talking about people like you. Otherwise you wouldn't talk about yourself. Me for example, I know he isn't talking about me, but realize he probably is right about a lot of people
I say just go lift weights, you’re either gonna excel or not it’s not rocket science. If you have good genetics you’ll grow from just about anything, if you don’t have good genetics then sorry pal
There was nothing wrong with that. I do that for fun to see how far I can push my acro A-wing. That said, I went into a collapsed spiral to see how much less G's I would get and realized that I had no outside brake to smooth out of it and it became locked in! So I let out the collapse and of course everything became very dynamic, managed to stop the surge but I often wonder what would have happened had I let the surge go?! It was very energetic 😲
Mike Mentzer is one of those guys that has 50% amazing game changing advice and then 50% complete horseshit. He’s right about the ‘reserve’ and that it’s usually the last couple hard reps in the set where the gains are made, but he’s wrong that the initial reps don’t do anything, volume is an important part of lifting as well, he just happens to be in the ‘intensity’ camp of bodybuilding and likely has the body type that just respond best to his style of training (as well as the steroid usage allowing more margin for inefficient exercise, on that much Tren the specifics of your routine matter less and less).
In addition to the other helpful comments on how to avoid the collaps: I highly recommend to not hold the beakes like at train horn but like a pen. Keep the knot between you index finger an thumb. This will give you way more feedback in any condition. Wheter its the spiral itself, the exit or any kind of collaps. You will feel way more and will be able to avoid such circumstances. Cheers and stay save. :)
Not that bad, a collapse is easy to recover. You failed controlling the wing after coming out from the spiral. Fly and learn everyday. It's important you make your own evaluation of what happened. You learned for sure. Fly forever!
What exactly does the concentric portion even help with aside from probably strength? From what it sounds like the eccentric portion tears your muscles a bit and this drives the body to rebuild them bigger and stronger, so shouldnt we in theory just do eccentrics with cheat concentrics to maximize size? This is just the theory in my mind which this seems to also kinda back, also btw whats the song playing
Yes, you described it to the point. Mentzer achieved great results.. I wouldn’t completely shift to such a method but at very least focus more on tempos. Explosive concentric movements, isometric holds and slow eccentrics. I’m not an expert but I think the key is on designing the workout. Christian Thiadenau has great ones on this point.
In term of effort/results(relative) yes(and to be reviewed as the cheat part will tire you while not producing a good enough stimulus), but in term of efficiency/time/results(relative and absolute) then doing concentric and eccentrics are the best and surprisingly the most efficient too. If eccentric are extremely slightly more productive than concentric (according to some studies I have seen) this does not mean that concentric is useless as it is, too, beneficial (with results only slightly lower) In conclusion, the two are essential even if you are only focusing on hypertrophy and disregarding strength. You should do the two of them don’t disregard any
Explosive or use of momentum concentrics is going to increase the chances of you getting injured. You can always just do 10 second negatives if you want more emphasis on eccentric, or if you have a spotter, they assist you with the concentric part only.
