How do you change the material type for the door panel and frame? Having the door panel, style and rail all the same messes up exporting to cutlist because it reads both as either 3/4 hardwood or 1/4 ply.
I have used CabinetSense from its inception. I have found it intuitive, flexible, and invaluable in taking a project from design to shop. Every function of this plugin is well thought out and implemented with the end user in mind. The CabinetSense team is quick to respond to issues, fix bugs, and consider input for upgrades. The plugin does not impact Sketchup processing speed in any significant way. It seamlessly takes the SU model and exports it to Layout for presentation and shop drawings. Our clients love getting 2D and 3D models that look and feel exactly like the end product. This plugin gets a 5-star rating without hesitation. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
@@MattFormoso The drawings are done in SU. We create scenes in SU for the elevations, plan views and details we want to show in the shops. All of our dimensioning is done in SU using a combination of CabinetSense and SU dimensioning tools. CS has a function to export the scenes to Layout. Once in Layout, we adjust the views, add notes and, when completed, export it to PDF.
Hi, Does dis software has any european style cabinets? not the free standing ones but the one on the adjustable feets? Im from Europe and im looking in to get it but not sure if is for me or not. Planing to use it with Vcarve as it comes with my Cnc for kitchens and closets most of the time.
It is all done within the Dynamic Component formulas. I had to resort to a bit of trickery to do this as you cannot dynamically change the axis of a component. What I do is to move the door so that the axis is in the place that I want... then I draw the door with positive/negative values to attain the swing I want.
Thanks for this Paul. The changes to how Vectric handles multiple sheets are long overdue. The changes for importing from cabinetsense seem manageable to me, it looks like the only real downside is the loss of the automated output of every sheet of gcode straight onto my USB stick.
You have no idea how happy this material library makes me. Ive struggled with materials (operator error without a doubt) for a long while. This works flawlessly and so far eliminated all my issues. Fantastic.
Forget to mention most important thing in your tutorials: ALWAYS start with Cabinetsense template!! I spend two hours to find out. Almost give up with CS ;)
