I love watching your videos! This is going to sound weird but it works, and I learned this on an heirloom sewing group, your own saliva will take out the blood stain on the cloth. Really, try it!
Loved everything in Paula's gorgeous home ( I loved the wall papers<3) Thank you for being so gracious and welcoming Paula and thanking our charming host Michael, I appreciate and understand the depth of how fortunate we are to have David behind the camera and Michael introduce us to these rare and special viewing of this private collection. <3
Oh my giddy Aunt, the craftmanship is exceptional, no wonder you both love the home so much, thank you for sharing this very precious piece of history with us . Subscribed ! <3
Just a quick correction, that young girl from “Our Gang” holding the Bye-Lo Baby is not Darla Hood, it is Mary Kornman. She was a member of Our Gang in the silent era from 1922 until 1926. Darla Hood did not appear in Our Gang comedies until 1935.
Poppy Parker's designer??? *we're not worthy!* I keep telling myself that I can't have ALL the dolls, but my resistance to Poppy Parker is failing... Great video by the way! I have a small Crissy collection as I got her for Christmas in 1972 when I was 8, then Velvet the following year. The other ones in the line didn't come to the UK I think, as I never saw them...but I have them now thanks to friends in the US...
Loved the video, but this is a Christian Hacker dollhouse, not Gottschalk, fyi. Notice the star on the front door, typical of Hacker. Also, this house is featured in Swantje Kohler's book on Hacker dollhouses.
where can I find more information about prototype #1 ponytail Barbies like the one showed at the end of the video? its so fascinating how girl-next-door barbie originally looked.
I still have a Troll made by Dam Things and it’s a Bull or a Cow. I’ve had it since early 70s. His / Her hair is a bit grey, still going.. I’m in London England.
Thanks to you mentioning John Darcy Noble elsewhere, Michael, I searched for, and finally found his book ' Rare and Lovely - Dolls of Two Centuries.' In looking for more about him as a person, I have just found this video. What a wonderful man he was.
Thanks for the update, I've watched it from the first one. Love your long driveway, have you considered planting a tree lined driveway? I have planted oaks along our long driveway and it looks a treat!
I can hardly wait for some updates on the interior! I live in an 1838 farmhouse, and the house will literally become a part of you, if it hasn't already. Such a wonderful adventure you boys are on!!!
I love your updates and stories. Thanks so much for sharing your adventure! I agree with others that the supposed apricot tree may be a luscious peach tree. Either way if you want to save some for yourselves, you will have to battle the birds. They come every day peck a couple of fruits to see if the fruit is ripe. Then attack one day for the best fruit. I have had this battle many times. You have quite a bit of heaven that surrounds your future home.
Wow! This is a sweet tour. Charlie and I enjoyed watching. We aren't on facebook so we rely on RU-vid for your news. Q: Are you and David going to any of the Seattle area doll shows? Lynwood Aug. 25 or Nov.10 or Tukwila Oct. 13. If so, we would love to see you. We plan to attend just one so that is why we are asking. Thanks for this video!
Thank you for the update-I was just thinking that I hadn't seen any news from you! I don't do Facebook -so for those of us that don't, please keep these videos coming! The porch is outstanding!!!
At 15.21 looks like strawberry clover. The blue flowers also look like blue flax. Hard to tell from the video though. I love the tone of your voice when you see the bunny ❤️ so much wonder 🥰 that’s how I say it too. What a wonderful place and project 🤩
The tree with fruit is a peach tree and very soon the squirrels will start eating them. Since the tree is so big, I am not sure what you can do to protect the fruit, I put a net over mine, but they are dwarf peach trees. The pink wildflowers are clover. Blackberry's grow wild everywhere in VA and if they are not already along the edges of your field it is because someone came in and mowed them back, most likely the county since they care for the ditches along state roads. Eagles are protected and their nests can exceed 2K lbs so you may want to talk to a local group about the best way to move forward with your baby eagles.
Good evening, thank you so much for taking us around your property and showing us the stream with Mr and Mrs Beaver. The property is beautiful and the layout with the field and stream is wonderful. How awesome would it be to have a pathway down to the stream and just be able to sit there. The house is like the ones you see on old chocolate boxes, the front repairs are awesome. It will be like a dream come true to live there into old age and enjoy the peace and quiet and the beautiful home.
Thank you for the kind words , yes we are looking foreword to sit next to the stream with Mr. and Mrs. Beaver , it will be a big job but we will make it happen .
