Has anyone provided feedback on mounting to the rear window brackets? I ask because I have a 2017 JKU Hard Top and would need to do that... but my concern is weight sitting on those rear hinge bolts. Thank you!
My kit came w 2 sized washers, only the large washers fit the large bolt for the corner pieces BUT the washers does NOT fit in the channel so it is not usable, keeping it above the channel does not let the bolt screw far enough in. I am off to home depot tomorrow to hopefully find the correct size washer. Very frustrating.
Hi, In the video you say that it will definitely support a rooftop tent. It was my understanding that a wrangler cannot carry a RTT that is gutter mount because the fibreglass roof itself cannot hold more than 150lbs. The issue in not whether or not the rack can hold a tent, it's whether the roof itself can. Can you help me understand whether or not I can use your rack to hold a RTT on my Wrangler JL? Thanks!
I wouldn't support a RTT + people solely on the gutter mount. I wouldn't put anything over 150lbs on it. You're also adding the weight of the rack + RTT + 1-2ppl..no for me

I like the popup like this instead of the triangle. Its feels like you have so much more space inside. Just wish the sides were hard shell rather the canvas material.
Just received my roof rack last night. I love this rack, Great price point for a modular rack, but worst instructions ever! I had to come here to see how the corners were bolted on. No where in the instructions did it say to use the square nuts. I guess that makes semse, but would have been nice to include that and better pictures in the instructions. Also, can I purchase t bolts for attachments in the future?

Hey, I bought this ladder rack bud did not get the Tacoma mounting brackets and can’t find them on line. Did you have to buy them separately or did they come with your purchase?
Did you install the tent on the factory roof rack and cross bars ? I have a ford escape I was told to buy after market cross bars that are expensive as hell.
Yes we have installed them on factory crossbars. We install them on many factory crossbars and have never had an issue. For safety and ease we always recommend to everyone to upgrade their crossbars to something stronger such as Thule, Yakima or Rhino Racks. Its a recommendation but the choice is ultimately yours if you want to install it on factory crossbars. Also some vehicles have extremely low profile roof racks which can make it very difficult for most people to even be able to install the roof top tent.
