My in laws were like this. They allowed to stay so many relatives and give priority to them above their own children. But when we moved to a new house I strictly said no. We should give priority to our own children . No outsiders are allowed to interfere in our family.
OMG.... Same situation... We were in Chennai and during those days ( 80's and 90's) Chennai was the hub for employment.. All relatives will come to the house, eat , sleep and finally shit on our head and go. My parents allowed all tom, dick and harry to enter our lives through them. Finally, they will talk about how we fought with our parents all nityy gritty things which usually happens in a family. Now, I don't allow my relatives to cross boundaries and also no night stay. If they want to stay, I direct them to hotels not in my house.
