bro you sound identical to me when i’m working on my shit 😂 same exact phrases and everything lmfaoo. i also hate working on stupid shit like that, something they know will go bad regularly and put in the DUMBEST spot. about to do this on my si i appreciate you showing all the bullshit steps / actually getting it in and out. i know what im getting into now
That bottom hose that you left, the one that went to the bottom of the factory airbox, provides no cold air as it isn't under vacuum... As it is from factory, fully enclosed. Your thoughts on 'cool air' intake hose from factory box is now mute... Flags don't fly without wind.. Honda spent lot's of $ designing the factory airbox. Doesn't matter if you removed the whole resonator box behind the bumper up to including the hose that gets air from driver's fender. Without the factory set up, your sucking in hot air from the engine bay = hot air intake. You need a lesson on vacuum. You've gained nothing over stock, other than intake sound and loss of power. Enjoy your hot air intake, does sound better than stock 😂 V-Tec on 8th gen are on both intake and exhaust. 9th intake only have V-Tec on intake cam only. Educate yourself
How do did you know the p.c.m. was bad.my says no bus and relay just sounds like a vibrater. No dash power.wait to start cycling on and off multiple times the no bus. The injection pump fucked up then this i put a e.c.m. of the excact same year and 5 speed nothing. I un plug black connector from p.c.m. no humming.maybe im in the same boat. I know it a old thread would like your opinion
its ok, everyone has their first time..... While you have the top ball joint out, use the ball joint press on the lower joint by putting the press up through the top hole....
Around the 4:30 point you completely glazed over the most difficult part of the job. How did you get the firewall side bottom bolt ? You can't fit an extension between the bottom rad' hose.
@jessedrifts would it be easier to come at it from the wheel well? About to do water pump and thermostat on my 2017 desert hawk and trying to make it go as smooth as possible
Hey I've got a No Bus on my 02 3500.. runs and drives, no overdrive and button doesn't work, no gauges work other than RPM, check engine fuel abs brake and some other dummy lights on, no OBD communication. Not sure what the issue is. I've done the cluster diagnostics the gauges work when doing the test, but not sure what it can be. Where should I start with diagnosing this?
@@BasedEliseo I sent in my pcm to be refurbished they told me it couldn’t be due to being shot. Then I bought one from Automotivediscounts it would fix my gauges and no bus but would not start the truck. They sent me another one but same thing so I think those are bad pcms cause they said they’d just refund me pay quickly
@@BasedEliseo nope. The refurbished pcm was like 1100 😬 took me awhile to get that so just found out I’m going to send them back and wait on this refund and spend the extra couple hundred with a very reputable company in hopes that it’s it. What the refurbished pcms were doing is energizing the thick ground wire that connects to the pass. battery and leads to the C1 connector common grounds.
Drive your car. If you accelerate with zero shifting, then it's a CVT. If the car shifts automatically as you speed up, it's not a CVT. The non CVT transmission in this car is NOT subtle. You will feel it and you can watch the revs drop
any idea what a compound s475 over hx40 62mm sac 7x13 injectors 290gph lift pump 5/8 lines edge juice unlocked through nv5600 would do? just building mine now.
Maybe someone know how mutch more do these calipers stick out than stock GS or LS 90-94 calipers, I'd love to upgrade, but I already have nice aftermarket wheels so I wonder if these calipers would fit. Now the gap between stock caliper and rim spokes around 10mm, I know that in theory I could use spacers but my 8J rims sit very close to the fender arch
I did my inlaws 14 jeep patriot it has the same transmission as yours ,they bought the transmission filter with gasket ,and they got 5qt of liquid moly transmission fluid, I looked at the trans pan shape and bolt holes compared it to the gasket it looked correct and bolt holes. so drained out 4.25 qt ,took trans pan off and could not see the filter nothing that looked like the new filter so I went on cleaning pan ,then noticed the gaskets are different the new gasket looked very similar to the pan's shape but at the bottom left corner is different 😮 ,so went on cleaning the pan and reused the original gasket,I thought the transmission fluid was the wrong but it says sp-iv the liquid moly transmission fluid is brownish color not the typical red I see lol ,where are these transmission filters located
Im confused, Why did you use the StopTech SS brake lines for an SC300/Supra? Why not use the stock GS300 or StopTech SS for a GS300? Does the stock GS300 brake lines not reach?
@@ladybuggs79 Good luck! I took my time because it wasn't my car and wanted to get it right. Also stopped for dinner and a trip to the parts store for hose clamps added some additional time to the job.
please use a Jack Stand. Hydraulic jacks can suddenly fail (Especially if it's been used to lift larger vehicles), and then you have 2000 pounds of car sitting on your lap....... Just use the factory Scissor jack, as a second point of support at the very least. Anyways, thanks for the video, showed me what my car looks like taken apart!!!
heya,i know this is old bud,but im a litl confused....the primer filler is not heat proof..?....then you sprayed on the heatproof colored paint.....but no,reading the comments...you used duplicolor....so how has it all held up really..?Motors in general throw out a hell of a lot of heat.
They do not have this part at any chain parts store. What they have is aftermarket garbage that will fail again. When this much work goes into replacing a part, install something quality.
my civic is popping and almost creaking at slow speeds and turning into parking spots. would anyone know what thats about? seems to be coming from the strut at the top but cant tell.
After watching this i now regret telling my wife i could do this. The parts are here so gotta try soon. I did disc brakes was easy so i figured why not. I dont wanna do it now i am nervous to mess this all up.
You'll figure it out. There's only one way it can go back together. Make sure you have plenty of time, and hopefully another vehicle for auto store trips. Needle nose pliers or a tool specifically for springs. Anti seize is nice but definitely not necessary.
