I will try to upload videos which are related to Civil Engineering. Currently I am studying CE in AUST, Bangladesh. In the previous years I have to complete a bunch of assignments which required skills in EXCEL, MS WORD, AutoCAD, ETABS and many other software. I have experienced a lot of difficulties to find the right tutorial in right moment. So, I am going to share some tips and tricks about those software which are rare to find on the internet to help you to complete your assignment.
There are some topics which are very much important. For example: foundation-based problems like how to design a square footing, or why and how to design a combined rectangular or trapezoidal footing etc. etc. But the problem is there is no ‘complete’ videos or ‘proper’ articles on these topics to clear our concepts. I will make sure to provide video tutorials on such topics with book references to make sure you can gather perfect knowledge.

How do you design a symmetrical combined footing where the distance from center of column to edge is equal on both ends? Is there no need for reinforcement calcs in that situation?
A combined footing of Length 4.0 m, width 2.0 m and thickness 0.5 m is constructed on the soil of SBC as 10 t/m2. It supports two column (A & B) of size 0.25 x 0.25 m each. Both columns are placed centerally along width of footing. Along length, Column A is placed at edge of footing while centre of column B is placed at 3.0 m from centre of column A. Both columns are subjected to dead load of 100 kN and live load of 50 kN. Draw bending moment and shear force diagram along length of footing. Determine and provide reinforcement due to bending along length of footing.

Hi. what a great teacher you are! umm, can you please tell me how to add the loading from bricks or hollow cement blocks into the mix, if the footing is to support some square meters of blockwork in between the two columns?
