@@scotthayes3032 lol. I dont really think there is anything hard about it. It's probably pretty obvious that I don't really care a whole lot about filming and shit. So what tends to happen. I drop the filming and focus on the actual project. I can't even count how many times I've set out to make a video only to end up abandoning the camera to focus on the actual job. Ultimately ending up with no video. Anyway, it's a pretty straightforward job. Nothing hard about it as I recall. I jist suck at making videos.
I messaged up not realizing you cant take the bottom plate off and and took the screws out of the bottom and tried to take a flat head and hammer it loose, doing so offset the screws that are place in the center areas not the ones on each furtherest ends do you know what i have pushed that displaced the screw mounts ? I have the exact scooter with the same exact problem. If you can help that would be much appreciated great video none the less
Thanks for the video. I’ve been studying this one hard too. Any chance you also looked at the Westinghouse 5000 watt? It also seems to get good reviews.
@@mikeoz8198 I have looked at that one. I do get the same sort of impression. That is that it's probably good. However when weighed against the champion brand. I had to go with champion. Making generators is what they do, and alot of them.
@@grouponful lol. That's it! All keyboard wisdom reduced to a single statement. Why even bother typing anything at all? Return it for what? Another one? Another poorly constructed fireman that will fill your hand with fiberglass! I think the best thing to do is let people know that. You need to jist spend the money on a reputable fire mat to avoid this aggrevation. Which is what I did. Thanks for your wisdom. Makes me feel better about the future of this country knowing we have such high intellectual bandwidth availiable.
too bad he already got it in and seated, notice no orings shown before he put the wrench on. you can't see how he actually did it. thats the part people want to see, how it is actually done. not explained and the watch me slide the wrench over and make it look like I pressed it in.
@@jacklane7439 it's a great generator. I took it with about 1 month ago when I took the camper out. I used it off and on over a 2 week period and ran it on both propane and gasoline.
Having the same issue have replaced the spark plug just waiting on a back ordered carburetor. Thanks to reassuring me with this video I feel confident with the new spark plug and carb my problem will be solved 🎉
Thanks for the video!! Did you ever try the 12v plug instead of the inverter? Could it achieve 0? :) Just got one myself, wondering how it's done over time?
@@snowbeardCO Great question. If you search around on my channel you should find a video of me making a 12 volt batterry box to run this thing. 12volts is the way I run it and it runs great. Just used it a few days ago and I use it quite a bit. Probably once every 10 days. I can't remember if I've seen it hit zero or not. I know my memory recalls an 11 and maybe even a 9. Just can't remember. I am disappointed however in the way the fridge compartment works. It doesn't have any temp control really. It just ends up being whatever it manages to get down to while the freezer is working. It's a little lame. But it does work
My Okai scooter is broken too. It wont power on, the weird thing is that it turns on whenever it wants 🤦🏻♂️, i have tried to turn it on for the last 3 weeks and not working. I went to my garage at 2 am, and its ON. Wtf, OKAI freakinnn sucks! Customer service is not helping me.
@@eddiefogerty The fact that you can't order any of the components off of their website is a dissapointment. Because it makes it so you have to call their customer service. Which is it's own dissapointment. Everything on the scooter with the exception of the batterries management system funnels through that speed controller. That or the on off button itself are the 2 most likely options for this problem. But you can't get those parts without going through customer service. I'm surprised we havnt arrived at the point yet where you could just buy parts and build your own scooter. Like radio controlled cars and airplanes from the hobby shop. Mountainbikes etc. .. Heck, you can buy the components to turn a bicycle into an electric bike. There's a market for this is scooter land it seems.
I have the exact same problem and symptoms as you described on this and previous video. I’m trying to get them to fix it for me because I don’t have the tools and the handy hands as you do. Apart from replacing the battery, do you think if there is any other ways to resolve this? Mine was shutting down and I was able to turn it on the next day and then it shuts down again. Repeat the same thing the next day 😢
@@ttrieu21 no. I don't beleive there is. The batterry management system is built into the batterry. It's a very sophisticated circuit system. It's likely unhappy with some information it's reading from the batteries and is shutting the unit it down for safety. In other words. To prevent a fire. It is possible that there is something else going on. Impossible for one to really know without seeing it in person. Your best resolution will have to come through OKAI. Good luck
@@angrybeard4673 Thank you, seems like an intermitten issue, today I got it charged to 100%, I will take it for a ride a see how it goes. have a nice one!
@@christopherdiaz9546 I assume you will only be able to get it from Okai. I didnt change mine. I just removed it and put it back on. I've never had to buy one.
Ok thanks, but do you think she can retain heat? I'm talking about cold days like 10°C/50°F. I have other 3 season tents but they tend to have to much air flow and on windy days I can feel a breeze inside. Where I'm from the worst we get are nights that go down to 8°C/46°F. I really liked this one and was thinking that she's good enough to maintain a good warm air inside without creating too much condensation.
The spicer peak tent would not be a tent to consider for the cold. For one, it's a big tent. All the open air space will be working against any warmth inside. Secondly, it's baisically a screen ceiling that is covered over with a rainfly. The material is the typical thin nylon tent material. There is nothing about this tent that suggests it should be considered for any cold temperatures. Quite the opposite in fact. Kodiak canvas makes several canvas tents that would be worth looking at for that. Unless your hiking with it.
@@nunodeazevedo well. To be honest. I think you could sleep on the ground with a good sleeping bag at 50 degrees. So. Yes, you could use this tent in 50 degrees.
@@mikesterloc can't remember. I have another generator video up to. Different generator. I think I recall one of the generators coming with good oil. Usually I never use the oil supplied. I just use my own. In the case of the generators I usually read what the book says the quantity is and then I measure that amount of good oil and dump it in. I dont know what I did on this generator
where would i be able to purchase a replacement battery for my okai neon? i’ve looked online and nothing seems right? any help would be appreciated thank you!
@@jaydendelgado1482 you will have to contact okai and have them sell you one. They are around 500 bucks. Sooo. Just saying. Might just consider getting a new scooter unless yours is still under warranty.
If you want to see how REALLY fast ANY saw cuts; get a full chisel chain for it. You will be amazed! I've converted most; (seven of the the ten); of my saws to full chisel. These full chisel chains are somewhat 'delicate'; they won't stand the abuse that a semi-chisel chain will. Hit the ground once; and you are done! The chain will need sharpening. The semi-chisel chain that comes on most saws cut reasonably well and are very rugged. They are very forgiving of a lot of mistakes. But if you have clean wood and are careful to keep from hitting the ground; a full chisel; oh man!
I’ve been having the thing start accelerating on its own through traffic. It was dangerous. I couldn’t stop it. I had to power it off to get it to stop. Couldn’t brake it or anything
Question,i have the same play on my 97 tj with a dana 35,,i noticed you did the right rear bearing is the a left side as well that also needs to be done at the same time? thank you!
@@markboza6215 The left side is done the same way as the right side. Just because one side is bad doesn't necessarily mean the other side needs to be changed. It's a judgment call. I would change them both. It's not a hard job and they are not expensive.
Thanks for the video...I just purchased that exact model. Can't wait to get it unboxed, and give it a try. I plan on making a well ventilated shed, to protect it from the elements when in use.
you seem to know your way around this scooter, I bought the same one but in Switzerland it is limited to 12 mph... Do you have a solution to remove the speed limiter ??
I don't know this for a fact, I've never tested my theory. But my theory is that the small blue wire that is attached to the middle of the circuit board on the speed controller is the speed sense wire. Not the big blue wire under there but the small blue wire. Clip it and see, if it was wrong, just put it back together. Roll back the grip tape from the front, remove the speed control unit, clip the small blue wire. If I'm correct, it will no longer know how fast it's going. You'll most likely lose your speedometer and possibly the front regenerative braking. Over here in the USA they are limited to 20mph, 12 is a selectable option. We just cycle through the speed options by double tapping the power button. Though I have never actually tested my theory. I can tell that it is capable of over 20mph because I feel the computer holding it back. So, don't be surprised if it goes stupid fast when unlimited
Nice video, me and my fiancé were just saying that they should make the batteries interchangeable.. this is a great sub however we will most definitely not be doing this
Thank you Sir, I just confirmed that the backfiring killed the stepper motor on mine as you showed in the video. I don't really have faith in this generator anymore as it seems it's reliability depends on some tiny, plastic teeth... Will be returning to Home Depot for another brand at this point, very disappointing.
Thank you for the video. I just bought one and I am expecting it to arrive in the mail soon. What do you recommend I do? Return it, purchase another brand and stay away from this company? Get an extended warranty?
Yea. Thats a good question. And I'm not sure really. I had a problem and what shouldve been an easy resolution was a shit show. I think that the best path forward would be to buy it from Best buy and pay for the extended warranty. Then if you have problems you vould just return it to best buy and avoid dealing with the manufacturer. There was no way I was just going to be ok throwing away 900 bucks. So my own arguably immoral option was going to be. To buy another one from best buy and then put this junk in the box and return it for a full refund a week later. Sooo. Goodluck. I have repaired mine and it has been fine so far. Regardless, I had to go through to much for me to be ok with it.
Chinese garbage. You will always have to repair it when it is new. The Chinese NEVER inspect or test products before they go to market. (Does not matter if it was engineered in the U.S ) Cheap Please do not get me started on the cheap knock off Chinese sparkplugs. (It/they are just evil. They know what they are doing) How many hours have been lost to repairing Chinese garbage and trying to work with Chinese parts? If you ask me it is a attack on the U.S. and the West. I blame DC, just as much as the Chinese, for selling us out and ripping us off. Anyone remember Made in U.S.A. parts and goods? DC or China or both have to go. Why the hell should anyone pay taxes? Pay DC to sell us out?
