Nilight 3PCS 60 Inch Bed Light Strip 270 LED with On/Off Switch Blade Fuse Splitter Extension Cable for Cargo Pickup Truck SUV RV Boat,2 Years Warranty a.co/d/cgJ4UIf
No, you can’t cut the strip. But I’m sure you can find the right size for your short bed. I had a short bed Tundra and was able to find the right size for it on Amazon.
@@blaimoua85 thanks for getting back to me. Actually, I was able to cut two of the three strips. There is a scissors icon every few inches where you can cut it. But one of the strips had connection wires on both ends and that piece was impossible to cut and reconnect. The other two were fine cutting it down to size for the length of my truck bed. The hardest part was tapping into my power connection for my trailer harness but even that wasn’t too hard. Overall, the project was a success and I thank you for giving me the confidence to do it myself! Take care!
Thanks for the explanation. I think I purchased the same kit for my Silverado. I was hoping to tap into some of the existing wiring somewhere but it looks like everyone runs a line directly to the battery. Any regrets or changes you would have done, now that you have had it in place for a few months?
@@blaimoua85 after some additional investigation, I was able to locate the "always on" tab on my 7 way trailer wiring harness. This goes directly to a post on the outside of my battery. I used a tap-in splice deal to get power by the hitch and it works great. Thanks again for sharing your video.
I'm loving it. Keeps things from sliding and also keeps the bed clean and from dings. Only down fall is that it is a bit heavy if you need to remove it.
