I have had two UGGGGLY looking doors for around 4 months now (had a ding in the parking lot at work) this video is gonna save me $250 ! ! ! THANK YOU VERY MUCH! ! ! 👏👏👏👏👏👏
@TMCHL Correct, it's a passive active system, so the mid and tweeter in the door run a high pass of about 150hz, then the underseat sub is playing from that frequency down on a low pass filter 🙂
Hopefully it doesn't end up getting water intrusion from a clogged evap drain tube or a loose vapor barrier. I would have mounted it somewhere higher up.
@Mr_BUSINESS_24_7 In my personal experience, this has not been an issue. This one has been installed in the car for over 4 years with no issues 🙂 As you can see in the video, this replaced a dsp in the same location, and the customer did not want to pay for a complete relocation, so this was the solution 🙂
@@wickswirescaraudioandfabri7730 me personally. I would have put it between the rear seat cushion and the floor where the carpet is vertical. So basically behind the calfs of a person sitting in the rear seat. 🤷🏼♂️ but I understand what you're saying.
Really appreciate all your help I have another question. I have a i905 alpine head unit with rca’s running to the R2-A60F 4 channel amplifier and a R2-S653 set of component speakers, do I run all the speaker cables to the cross over , as in just one set of speaker cables from the amp to the cross overs and then wire all the speakers from the crossover, if so do I need to bridge the cables from the amp to the crossover , as it’s a 4 channel amp,if so what size wiring will suit it ,or should I just have the subs from the component speakers wired directly from amp to the speakers and run another speaker to the crossover feeding the mid and the tweeter .Please Help
Thanks for the reply I’m in the middle of wiring my alpine i905 to my 70 series with a aerpro steering wheel control if you have any footage of wiring can you please let me know as I’m having a hard time with it
@shdhrjdi The pre 24 70's don't have steering wheel controls, so this one did not have any. It should be a pretty standard toyota wire up. Are you sure you have the correct patch harness for the aerpro module?
hi with the aerpro kit will there be a problem with security if transferring and retaining the same bcm from old icc to this icc because of unplugging bcm and plugging back in or will car still start after, also if buying a spare icc for parts except bcm and use yours or buying spare vents and spare central locking module that goes ontop of vents will it cause problems with security if retaining your old bcm from car or will it only be the keyless remotes that need programming. also with steering wheel control harness in the icc can you configure for one brand then just re configure harness for different brand if upgrading to carplay later and plug in and it work or do you got to reset the icc steering wheel control again. want to upgrade to carplay but cant afford to yet and want to get biggest job out way soon as possible and maybe only have to pull out again far enough to get to side screws to swap headunit, plus want to have piano black trims and need to do icc so it all matches. when ready to upgrade to carplay will probably get a kenwood or pioneer but may have access to a secondhand jvc touch screen just to show aircon info until able to afford headunit thanks
is there a not a more elegant solution for the DAB aerial ? There has to be a better way than sticking to the windscreen next to the A pillar. Do you also do alarm solutions that integrate with the factory key fob ?
Sweet, how did you deal with the bass rolloff oon the stock hu, putting a system in the wifes highlander with the same radio. Helix dsp and jl 5 channel.
Helix dsp's do have a function called dynamic bass enhancement, which is there for this sort of circumstance. Otherwise, put Hec module in the dsp and bypass the unit all together haha 😅
Grettings from Brazil. This Fascia kit comes with a harness, right? This is the only cable needed to install one of that compatible multimedia, it's sufficient to keep the steering buttons working? Thank you.
Thanks! Here on the market I can buy ILX507 or ILXW650. They are Alpine's, but not exactly the same described in many australian websites. Did you know if they are also easy compatible with facia? I already bought it by the way... Chills Here. 😂
for acoustics of this class, the power must be supplied from class AB amplifiers, and not from a class D processor amplifier. You lose at least 50% of what the system can produce.
Your assumption is incorrect about current class d technology, it is nowhere near a 50% difference these days. Brax has actually just released a class d amplifier, and for that to happen, there has been some big leaps and bounds. Have a look into Purifi class d technology, very renound in home audio. As for the Macan, there was no way that 3 class ab amplifiers were going to fit behind the factory side panel, as that was the guideline from the customer 😅
