When you guys are ready to make some current videos. Let me know. I’m taking a set of 4 of these up to the lake this winter for lake bound chinook. I’ve got the new xcc’s
yo guys know steelhead come back right? for years and years, you also know removing the slime off their body increases their chance of disease and death right? your hands and that net thingy removes that slime, NEVER remove a fishes head from water if you're tossing back, and never touch them, get a long curved needle nose, 10" reach into the water and twist the hook out, let her run.. good grief the way I see you folks handle these fish and hold em out of the water and crap is ridiculous for CnR.. pull em up to your waders very slow, let em calm, keep their head under water, reach down and pull the hook, the way some handle them may as well keep em as their chances are pretty slim of ever returning.. we can see into the water to look at your MONSTER fish ffs...
tell you what, I have an old LCI GST856 IM6 that's hard to beat, like to have the modern open reel seat and open handle but that can be done, the blank is dead nut, i can feel a gnat fart on the tip.. it catches fish too
gots me an old LCI GST856 IM6 casting, 10-17lb, it catches more fish... :-) I believe it's the composite that puts these rods a step above, I swear I just feel more bites therefore can set more hooks, and I am talking over very good graphite rods like older fenwicks which are good, but I catch more fish on the IM graphite, you feel the lightest little nibbles or gumming, then the slow low long tugs, all of it, so sensitive
The audio on this video is annoying. Video content appears good but could not get myself to watch with the volume going too low, and hearing mic bumps.
The fact that Lamiglass thought this video was good enough to post as buyer guide for someone is potentially investing the better part of 1000$ is a clear indication that they are satisfied with mediocrity.
Is that Carbon Surf rod you held in your hand a MH or H rod? Could it cast at least 100 yards if you use a 3oz lure? Also, have you ever used the Insane Surf rod? If so, how is it different from the Carbon Surf rod? Thank you if you could answer my questions, I appreciate it!
10'6" Si lacks backbone. When fighting 9lb steelhead it feels like you have to nearly break the rod of how much it bends just to get the fish to come to you.
Lamiglas warranty is shit! I had to argue with the management & owner to replace my gsb for 6 months ...... never got anything! Lamiglas does not warranty their rods!
Oh on the contrary ! I bought a new high end lami and straight out of the box I tied the line off to check the action and it snapped right in half. Had a new rod 4 days later !
