Me and my family went to a cliff jumping spot in California where this man was recording. It was around 6 years ago and I just remembered this channel because of my brother. Haven’t posted in three years, I wish good health to you and those around you.
If they get chipped, you can powder coat them. If you break the seals, you can replace them. I don't know why that dude in red says you have to replace the whole caliper...
Hey man just wanted to say thanks for the video. I was quoted £1200 by Nissan to replace my rear brakes, but your video inspired me to do it my self. I got ferrodo DS2500 pads for £200 and me and a friend did the replacement In under 3 hours. It's been driving (and stopping 😁) perfectly for over a month now. Thanks so much
Great vid! I will definitely use these techniques when it comes time. I don’t track my GT-R so my original pads/rotors are still good at 46k miles! I thought I would be doing the brakes by now but hasn’t happened. Probably just as well since I can’t decide on what setup to go with! Guy is the man and has serviced my GT-R when I was in California.
GTR Bill this was great. One of the main points that I keep thinking about with the GTR is the brake job. I keep hearing $5,000-$7,000. This didn't seem that bad. Where is the major cost? Rotors? How much did these pads cost you? Anyways great video.
The major cost is the OEM rotors. about $2k per rotor. If you go aftermarket, which are much better, it will run you around $1.2k for a whole set depending on what brand you get.
T C No, Guy used simple ranches to do everything no special tools were used. We wanted to do this video to show how simple it was to change out your pads. Good luck and thanks for watching the video 👍
Easy, love how simple Brembo pads are to change. I've done tons of changes on all my previous WRX STI's. basically the same without the extra two bolts. I'll be getting some Hawk HPS soon I'll hit up Chris Riggs he's a local Okie.
