If you or a loved one have been diagnosed with MindlessRU-vidComa, you may be entitled to wholesome contemplation!
Hi, I'm Moony. During the day, I am an attorney who works on cases involving victims of domestic violence, victims of human trafficking, and refugees.
After long, grueling days, I would often watch video-essays and relax, but couldn't find a channel that had what I was looking for: content that was serious without being anxiety-inducing, mature without being condescending, and wholesome without being overbearing.
And so, I decided to make my own, as a hobby! Now, by night, I make wholesome, relaxing, and hopefully enjoyable, video essays, mostly about video games and law. Life has always been a struggle for me... and if it has been for you too, maybe you can join me on this RU-vid journey.
Thank you for tuning in to Moon Channel. It means so much to me!
- Moony
P.S. Are you a react channel? Please feel free to react to my videos with my blessing!
You win man! It's good to get the perspective of someone who understands the business. A lot of these other content creators are guessing their way through it all and spewing narratives. This is a place where you get the facts and can actually learn something. GGs..
"There is no such thing as a Nintendo"? Of course there is such a thing as a Nintendo. There is the Nintendo Entertainment System/Nintendo Famicom, the Super Nintendo Entertainment System/Nintendo Super Famicom, the Nintendo 64, etc.. Nintendo, you are so stupid.
Wow. You had me in this video until the 43 minute mark. Paraphrasing "If every nuke launched there will still be whole cities untouched". Um no. It's not the number of nukes that is the problem. It's the amount of radiation. Fallout (the game) is fun, but it is totally unrealistic because if there were a full nuclear exchange between two super powers there would be no humanity left to populate the "waste land". If full nuclear exchange took place all life on the surface of the Earth will die.
Good to hear the perspective of someone who actually understands the business and legal side of things versus the huge compost heaps of CCs saying Nintendo is just evil and immoral for running their business. Thumbs up.
I was just expecting maybe a history of God killing in video games dating back to like the late 80s early 90s. I was not expecting a full dissertation on the culture of Japan. Phenomenal video
This channel and video is proof that a smaller subscriber channel can produce. Better quality scripts and videos then a high traffic channel with millions and millions subscribers can. You got a sub. Much love from missouri ❤️
Never played Limbus, but I loved Lobotomy Corporation made by the same company. Wild that all this happened from a developer that made a chibi SCP sim game.
First of all, this is a good video. Second of all, while I'm American, I was raised Catholic and am now in sort of an agnostic/humanist UU space. The bit where you defended that you were a Christian despite being in a small denomination got me really worked up for a second -- it always used to bother me when the evangelical kids said I wasn't Christian when I was growing up when I knew I was from an extremely religious household, I was just the wrong "type" of religious. Like, are you a monotheist who believes in the divinity of Jesus Christ? Definitionally, that's a Christian. Like, I'd maybe accept excluding non-Nicene faiths from the umbrella, which would exclude Mormons and Unitarian/non-trinitarian churches, which I don't want to do, but I'd maybe accept the distinction. Anyway, then I watched on and consciously grasped that the Protestants are still schisming to this day, but I still think the colloquial use of "Christian" in the US to basically just mean "this specific brand of Calvinist protestant" is extremely off-putting to me, but I guess that's the point. Religion is weird and this comment is a mess.
The one resource people don't seem to mention is people. Russia China America and Europe are running out of people. You really can't fight a huge war when most of your population is too old sick or too dead to fight it.
But in our world as opposed to Fallout computer and drone technology is far more widespread and generally advanced then there. Ok maybe the peaks are more sci-fi in Fallout, like AGI and robots but not so widespread, and we can have robots like Codsworth if someone wants to build them, even better because our digital technology is so advanced. You have no need for big sentry robots when a swarm of smart hunter-killer small drones will do the trick for cheaper. In our world next huge war will be fought with drones and products of digital technology so there is less need for many people. Imho, the biggest difference in what we lack, is power. We dont have fusion power or even nuclear reactors are not sophisticated and miniaturized like in game because we are far more scared of nuclear than in Fallout world, but our nuclear bombs are stronger.
I'm a feminist because I believe in equality between men and women, but I also believe gender is nothing more than all the stereotypes and expectations that we shove onto it. Hearing about this fairly small but clearly influential part of the feminist movement in South Korea makes me not only appalled but very sad for these women. If you know anything about idol culture over there of having to be absolutely perfect, there's nothing worse than feeling like you have to do that for someone you don't even like. So much value is placed on looks that you have to wear makeup and heels every day at work at too many companies. To experience all this degredation and then turn around and make fun of men with small penises is so ridiculous. That is the most toxic equality and the last thing anyone should be focusing on, but clearly, gentle feminist movements are not working either. I feel very bad for these misguided men and women.
Funny thing, I have been playing Fallout 4 as a cozy game, I just went from the vault directly to Sanctuary, built a beacon and have been farming and building there ever since. There are 25 settlers, although the relationship part is a bit lacking with all the current characters being named "settler". Too bad no named companions are brought in by the settlement beacon, lol.
Bait and switch. Liked the video until I watched it for a second time and noticed the false comparison about saying that a game with a mechanic that is usually used in games for girls makes a game girly.
I have been considering revisiting thus topic, now that I have a bit more youtube experience under my belt. Could you tell me what you mean? Maybe I can offer a revision at some point, and credit you?
Recently, Nintendo offered Samus to be in Fortnite and epic said no when Nintendo wanted her to be a switch exclusive. They’re taking down roms from a trusted scource in the name of vimms lair, and took down a fuck ton of Nintendo mods in Gary’s mod. They haven’t changed, it’s getting worse.
I think the choice of China as America's primary adversary was not as absurd as you make it sound. (TLDR: China was still the most plausible future threat to the new US-dominated global order due to the collapse of the USSR, China's massive population, rapidly growing economy, and the legacy of the Korean War & extreme Sino-American tensions that persisted between 1949 until 1972). Considering the theme of the series revolves around a world inspired by the 1950s & 1960s, it is implied that China never fully abandoned Maoism or opened up to the west, so it makes sense that China would remain an adversary of the US. Since the Korean War (1950-1953) saw US and Chinese soldiers in large scale direct combat, it is actually pretty fitting for China to be the primary enemy in a retrofuturistic 1950s-style world.
Now for my take: HUMANTIY IS JUST BEING STUPID AGAIN, EVERYDAY SHIT LIKE THIS MAKES WE WINDER IF WE SHOULD HAVE NOT EVOLVED THINKING CAUSE IT JUST LEAD US TO THIS STUPIDTY. ITS A GARABGE GACHA GAME, GROW A BRAIN AND STOP BEING SO ANGRY OVER IT
I notice how common Christianity is in Japanese fantasy media that would be really interesting to discuss about. I think Japan sees Christianity and Europe as something exotic and mystic which is just like what we view Japan and their Shintoism. But it's still very jarring but entertaining for me to see an outsider's view and appropriation of Christianity, especially when it takes place in a fantasy world as if Christ also lived there once and died for their sins! I know that medieval Europe is very devoted by Christianity and many fantasy worlds in modern media is often influenced by medieval Europe. But as a fantasy world, including real life religions don't make sense and could be regarded as disrespectful here in west. They could have cross patterns and symbolism like in Narnia but no real crucifixes of Christ himself, especially without explanation! That would be seen as too preachy.
A great analysis. Would love to hear your take on alternative history of fallout. Those cids seem popular but all kinda based on the ridiculous logic inside fallout
Dude, this was insanely well made. Rather than a video or even a documentary, it felt more like a book. The 'unifying speech' during 1:04:00 to 1:14:44 made me change my feelings towards the Korean men's response and oddly evoked images of Alexander the Great's speech.
46:33 This song you've made reminds me of a person that hasn't done or posted content in years, one of my few favorites I absolutely love, and what inspired me to try and not make bad sequels in the future, "Confused Matthew". As well as Sam Hart's "Mario Kart Love Song".
If anyone would like a more in depth look at North/South Korean politics I highly suggest you watch "There Was a Genocide in Korea and Nobody Cares." by the channel GDF, it goes much deeper into post-war politics of Korea.
What you are describing, is Final Fantasy 11! Without partying up, ANY player would get destroyed by mobs, so social interaction was required, but the action inputs required enough of your attention to still be engaging without being able to go on autopilot.
In regards to the GEAR question, what if you could pledge your gained experience to another player in order to pay for it without using currency? That sounds like emergent gameplay. Obviously, guidelines would have to be implemented in order to make it fair, but it’s SOMETHING, right?

I was reading shaman king flowers the continuation of shaman king. Well, in the story because of a discordance between new shaman king (God) Hao and past shaman kings in what way humanity will take from now. The previous god before Hao is called YVS and he believes that the world he has created is already a utopia and also build the foundations of the present Capitalist society. No surprise that he is the main antagonist.
