I'm looking to revitalize this channel and bring new content on a regular basis. Things that you may find here are as diverse as my interests but I hope to include presentations of craftspeople in the local area (may expand later) similar to those done for the Masters of the Fountain Pen series that I'm hosting, Presentations of my own hobbies (Time Lapse Photography, Astrophotography, CNC machining, Sherline machining, Our huskies and puppers, art, Whiskey, etc.), and even presentation of music from both the local area and from the subscription services that I use in my videos.
We didn't understand a word but we felt good. Like my comment if you agree! Every time you like, I will be reminded of this video and watch it again. Arigato! It's September 2024.
How I miss Japanese customer oriented culture. I lived in Shoutoh (Tokyo) for 17 years - I met my wife there and my daughter was born there... ... the best years of my life. And the advice that this clerk offers (write words that are familiar) is excellent. I miss Japan ❤
Why Not? I find the movements of things in the sky fascinating. Clouds and stars. Storms and satellites. So I have this camera pointed up 24/7 seeing whatever it can see.
I download the music from RU-vid's Creator Music (Beta). Here is a link to Vibe Tracks channel... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Js4jnMeZZGE.htmlsi=TKOW-OYEUxSO5n6A
The video is the overall sky, but the moon makes an appearance this particular evening. We are currently at about a full moon. Just hidden by the clouds most of the night.
Hey Michael, I recently bought the exact same shredder because I want to recycle my failed plastic 3D prints. I tried using a several drills, but it just doesn't provide enough force and just ends up throwing me around. Someone recommended your video, so I thought I'd give it a try. However, I have no idea how you wired the old shredder. I bought mine used from someone on eBay who claimed it was still working, but I'm not sure if that's true. Could you possibly explain how you wired it and powered it on?
Apologies, I meant to say if you can please explain how you did wired it. I have been preserving my failed 3d prints since 2018, and your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Sure, Happy to help. I'll run down this evening and double check it. I will be rebuild that machine here soon anyway. Hopefully yours has gears on both sides of the body, The one that I have is experiencing significant gear wear. I mentioned this to them and they said they were adding gears on both ends. Mine may be due to me not getting them aligned properly, so I don't blame them. My solution will be to add a second motor and flip one of the shafts. I happen to have another shredder than can be cannibalized. Depending on your shredder, it may have different wiring than mine, but I will walk you through figuring it out.
@gilbertgalarza8287 Went and had a look finally, and checked the second unit that I have as well. Both of my units are 120v AC motors with 4 wires (Gray, Yellow, Red, and Black) with the Green Ground wire just going to a nut on the side. In the one that I have in the video, I have just the Red and Black wires going to the switch and to the power cord. I do not have the yellow or gray wire connected. @@gilbertgalarza8287
I am using the same shredder andm other the ones you purchased for this video. I am curious if you could provide me with a picture of your wiring so that I can replicate the exact configuration. Additionally, did your shredder function properly before you disassembled it? I obtained mine from an individual on eBay, and I want to ensure that it is not damaged. I am uncertain if it can still be used, as nothing occurs when I insert paper into it, leading me to believe that it's broken.
So, your saying I need to buy another motor to make it function properly? I wanted to use the one I already have, like you did in the video. If I can't do that, I'll probably just need to return it.@@1972Russianwolf
Yes, The camera is pointed straight up and has about a 160 degree field of view. I've actually put a blinder to keep the street lights out of the frame. North is to the bottom, South the top, East to the right and West to the left.
i remember there being a video in this series of a businessman at fountain pen shop in a snowy time of year. was helped by a woman salesperson, probably my favorite but has been lost to time
Yep, I grabbed copies of all the parts I could. I know there were at least 3 that I'm missing. I really wish the guy that originally uploaded them hadn't vanished from the net.
i read the description of one of the videos last night and noted that it said it was produced by a professor at a japanese museum. i wonder if contacting them would be worth its salt@@1972Russianwolf
Perhaps, the reason such fountain pen store continues to survive rests on the fact that many Japanese customers regard beautiful handwriting as an essential skill, and it is something that they learn from kindergarten until they finish their college or university education. Their great appreciation for beautiful handwriting is still very evident in their homes, workplaces and even in their daily transactions. As such, many stationery companies like Zebra, Pentel, Pilot, Platinum, Sailor and other independent brands continuously improve their product lineups in order to cater to the needs and tastes of the Japanese and foreign consumer bases.😊
