I don't know if you knew this, You know that ford Comet your uncle David drove before he passed from cancer. It was jacked up with racing tires and silver in color? I was the lucky one who ended up with it. GG Moss brought it to me so I didn't have to share a vehicle with Lori so I had something to drive to work. I was 16 yrs old then. Grand Pop put street tires on it before I got it and he painted an ugly green color. Not complaining but it looked much better Silver. I drove that car everywhere for years.
I hate that for you. 🤐😮💨 But I feel your frustration. I have had 7 different mechanics looking at my campervan and nobody can figure out the problem. The frustration is real.
@ruabadkitty Motors break, is what it is, luckily I did score a spare a month ago because it was cheap and close. Kinda sucks cause I just bought a new project yesterday, so that will be delayed a little now, lol. Thanks for watching.
Subbed. Can you please post a video of the latch and rod mechanism in action?? Somebody got cute with mine and I need to know how the rod is pulled to pop the door at the rear when the handle is turned. I can’t find info on it, not even a parts diagram! I want to gull wing it too but I need it to open first!
Have you guys ever had any problems or encounters with bigfoott? Only reason i ask is because there is a bigfoot trying to hide behind a tree. 21:11 left side of screen
The heads most likely need to come off BUT FIRST check the timing because jumped timing can bend valves..... Also look very carefully at those valve springs, push rods, and rocker studs.....You most likely will find loose rockers from bent valves, pulled rocker studs, or bent push rods.... Look for interference marks on those pistons.......Cam and lifter condition should also be assessed...You may luck out and only need to do heads, but there is zero chance I'm going to urge an LS swap....
@donsaunders5348 This video is from last week, I know exactly what it is now. And, just for fun, I ran out a few days ago and bought an extra motor anyway, lol.
I usually replace the entire distributor, but in your case, I suspect that you have a fuel delivery problem...... First re-check base timing, check for vacuum leaks, etc (the basic cheap stuff)..... Then fuel pump and filters......If the van is older (mechanical pump) check for cracks or rust-through of the fuel line....It could also be clogged and need to be back-blown....

My aunt was a telephone operator in Detroit when Steve Scott called and I guess he asked her some information about the Detroit Auto Show. They hooked up while he was in town. When he told her he had to go back to California she said 'I have a nephew in Van Nuys that would LOVE to see this car. He actually brought this thing over and dropped it off in the street in front of my house so that I and all of my friends could check it out! Then, he gave me the three (framed) publicity photos. They hung on my walls for many years. I wish I still had them. And, of course I built the model. I was about seven years old at the time. I'm glad to see it back on the show circuit. I saw it again on Sepulveda Blvd later in the late 70s after it had been painted gold. An important piece of automotive history.

We wrote one last night outside the mini mart. Morris called it "Stuart Drives A Comfortable Car" and then like in country songs, you know, in parentheses it says "There's Usually Someone in the Trunk." And, and um, I came up with a tune just a hummin'.
ironically, they were a friends, he sold them, i tracked them down and bought them back and have since taken them off. They are for sale but shipping would be brutal I am sure (unless you are close to the jersey shore)
