I’m not a fan of fussy cutting either but I found if I used a slightly bigger pair of scissors it’s much easier. Your slow stitched box is looking fantastic.

Thank you for letting me know. It’s because I was using my phone to film and I couldn’t see where my hands were. I had an issue with my files transferring from my camera to my computer for editing but it’s all fixed now. Should have that problem again - fingers crossed 🤞

This is so surprising to come across. I started adding boxes to my needle books a few months ago. I modified a folding coin purse pattern. Yours looks so neat.
looks great! realise you said you tried running stitch around the edge.... but what if you did the running stitch but only went part way through? and then repeated that on the inside? You can then keep an eye on what the stitches look like for each side.
I have made this out of pattern paper, where there was no pattern I added a piece of paper gluing the piece in so stitch fabric pieces to the wrong side that are showing. Good luck, I never thought about cloth box. 🌻

Thank you Maria, yes they are a great size. I went looking for that original pattern I used for the pouch and couldnt find it, but ill look again. I could do with some more of them :)
OMGoodness!! You my lady are brilliant! I would never have thought of making this out of fabric. I was going to do a little drawstring bag but now…..I think I will make this instead. Thank you for sharing your idea. I love it! 🙂🙂
Such lovely haul. Those umbrellas were used with dolls, such a great find. Lovely items can’t wait to see what you all do with the umbrellas. My Gran had a nice lace one she used each Easter such a happy memory. Would dress up in her pretty lace skirt (think it started as a dress) we would walk around the duck pound and she would use the umbrella to keep the sun of her. Us kids would be running around feeding the ducks, wadding in the pound (got told of) yep a lovely Easter Sunday.
