Mikael Lindnord with his adventure racing team, travelled to Ecuador the 31 of October 2014, two weeks later after 4 days of racing through Ecuador during Adventure Racing World Championships, Mikael meets the dog Arthur and from that moment they have been together. Everything started with a meatball.
My favorite dog was a rescue, her owners were moving out of country. They were worried if she'd survive the trip. My family adopted her, and we chose each other. She was terrific, lived 7 years with me.
This adventure of both man and dog has intrigued me. I’ve not read the book as of yet, but understand a team starts out on what they feel is their last race. A dog has one last race as well. The story to me has so many parallels about life of belief, perseverance, hope and love to name a few. Rest well Arthur and company you have taught the world a lesson. Love from Ohio, USA

I just watched Arthur the king, what a beautiful film, that told the story of a ghetto street dog, who will have your heart strings pulled at, and Mark Wahlberg should be really proud. A real life journey and celebration of what it takes to win, and Michaels prize was Arthur, and Arthur's prize was a home. Rest in peace Arthur ❤.

This video shows that the movie was bs, Arthur was saved in Ecuador, they didn’t have to travel to the USA in order to save him, suggesting that the “3rd world country was so behind medicine and technology “. I’m in love with the story but disappointed with the unnecessary changes in the movie.
The movie changed the country to Dominican Republic where vets may not have had the expertise and Arthur's benefactor was American. Hollywood changes details. However, the basic story of love and companionship is the same and that is what touches us.
