This is painful! Not only can you not pronounce Fuengirola properly but you went to every little sh1t hole you could find. You also have some weird obsession with filming yourself when you look like you were once set on fire and put out with a shovel. Proper rough.
To be honest, if you think that your accommodation is not up to scratch, complain to the staff. They will help in anyway they can. I don't mean to be rude, but do you clean UNDER YOUR SOFA?!
I use a Nationwide Flex account in a joint account. Pay £13 a month but that is comprehensive worldwide cover and includes cruise insurance, winter sports but not missed ports but you can pay £45 extra for that. It also gives you gadget insurance and breakdown cover for you and the other person on your joint account.
We were there for the same weekend, and had a standard room in the blocks featured in your video around the 6:30 mark. They were OK though ... once we'd got over the initial shock!
First time we went, we had a comfort plus. We had pubes in the sink, among other things. Last time we went for the rooms. Crappy as hell, but to be fair you sort of expect it for the price. Butlins is the kwik save of holidays, we all know that, but dirty is unacceptable. The best acommodation we had out of the three times we went was the gold apartment, but even that wasn't what you'd expect for 'gold'. I came away with the 'Butlins bug'. Nice dry hacking cough. Lovely.
When I lived there several years ago, it was possible to follow the river bed (with minor diversions) all the way to the sea at Mils Palmeras. Not for the faint-hearted though. It's about 12k, usually in seriously hot conditions. I returned on the bus!
yep, it's a lovely walk. Lots to see and loads of bars along the way, if you want to sit down for 10mins and have a cold one. We usually do the walk at least once during our 2 week stay, from Icmeler to Marmaris harbour and take a local bus back which is quick and cheap.
I have learned from expereince and now take both US and European adaptors on cruise so I can use all the sockets available. At least there was a shaver socket in the bathroom. I was on the Iona recently, a spanking new ship, but no socket in the bathroom to charge my electric toothbrush. The decor may be dated, but so long as it is comfortable and every works, I see no reason to grumble.
