Great vid Suzi, checkout "TENmotorsport. There's nothing like it Mount Panama" it's a great video commentary on how to drive on the mountain. it's done so well From BIZPIX1. Subscribed
I am an Aussie and have been a motor sport fan since 10 years of age (now 63). I used to love our touring car championship and Bathurst. This changed with the introduction of V8 Stupidcars and the the follow on series Stupidcars. These two series are shite compared to Group A and Group C and production cars that proceeded them. I have not watched Bathurst for over 20 years.
Ok, piece of constructive criticism for you, I don't mind you talking over the video when we can still hear the video, but at times you are talking with the video completely muted, but still playing,. Please either pause the video, or keep the sound up so we can hear it behind your talking. Occasionally missing whole sentences doesn't make it easy to watch. Other than that, keep going, good reaction to it great video!!
Most of the rallycross that I know of is outside of the US, however an American driver Travis Pastrana who mostly made a career doing dirt bikes and rallycross (and a short stint in NASCAR) started Nitro Rallycross as a way to kind of bring it to America (someone else that knows more could probably explain it better)
I watched the talladega race recently. Of course, they had the big on at the end, which delayed the race for half hour and Ricky Stenthouse Jr. Won in Overtime. Can't wait for the US grand prix October 20th.
This is a new motorsport. Created by Travis pastrana and held their first events about 4 or 5 years ago. It is a 2 day event, Saturday and Sunday. It's really fun to watch.
F1 history is full of what ifs, it's practically what defines it. As much as I love Danny Ric, I don't think he would've made a good fit next to Max, I think part of why Perez is still there is because he was playing the support role when needed and up until the decline of the RedBull dominance they didn't need him to perform all that much. It's a bit like the Schumacher era in Ferrari, any driving arriving there knew their role was to be 2nd to Michael and I don't think Danny would've been okay with that. As for who will replace Perez, and more importantly well, remains to be seen. I see one of two things happening. Either the car becomes great again in 2025 and Perez can follow the pace, he gets to stay even longer. Or he's still far from Max and they let him go in the middle of the 2025 season. With 2026 being a gamble for everyone, you'd want stability so whoever has the 2nd seat in 2025 at the end of the year is very likely to be there in 2026.
I have another suggestion from Flo racing “Chasing 200” is a phenomenal film that doesn’t need any knowledge of anything. It’s based on a dirt driver and that’s honestly all you need to know. It’s truly the best stuff Flo racing has created and you seemed to like the others made by them.
Love how you've embraced requests to explore other forms of auto racing. If other Patreon members have heard of "Gymkhana - Travis Pastrano", they may encourage you to take a look. It's not a race but it'll definitely entertain you.
Each track has a "joker lap" which is usually a longer lap time. Most races requires each driver take one joker lap, its up to them as to when they do it. A few NASCAR guys have done this for fun. Its a unique experience. This isn't very popular, however its quite new. There is an audience for this here and they are seemingly growing from my outside perspective. Dodge has recently joined in, so they see something in it. 34k views on a broadcast reupload they did. Its one of the many small niche motorsports here, which are all super unique and has some of the most diehard fans.
This is one of the worst NASCR crashes. As the car sides to a stop you see a black circle to the left side of the car, that is the steering wheel. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uzxcuV5rmA4.html
Because of this win I got to see him run for his final championship in 2015 homestead finale race it sucked he finished third in points but it was great seeing my favorite finish out on top
Talladega was insane this year! I was there! They ran 4 wide at least 7 rows deep in the first stage…missed the 27 car wreck though walking around the track to victory lane…
2:45 The 5 didn't win - they announced it a few seconds before. Regan Smith in the 7 got it (he's a pit reporter now) because they threw the yellow after the spin behind. 6:46 yellow car - perfect timing
This race was so fun to watch 4 wide 3 wide racing I don’t care if they weren’t going 100% It was still so good to watch Wow Stenhouse won that was unexpected And wow another Photo Finish SERIOUSLY HOW MANY HAVE WE HAD!! WE ARE GETTING SPOILED THIS YEAR!!😂 I watched the race taped on Monday because I was at a Seahawks football game on Sunday
American Chastain fan here. His results on the season before the Playoffs weren't great because he has a below average Crew Chief who has made some bonehead, borderline brain dead pit calls all season. Left at least 20 Stage Points out there because of "strategy" when those Stage Points would have gotten him in, and the Kansas win would have guaranteed him Advancing to the next round. There are multiple places to find the old(Winston Cup) Points system, where Chastain and Buescher are both inside the Top 7 in those points but didnt make the playoffs. But the best news for Chastain and Trackhouse is that Ty Norris is gone. Some will tell you thats a bad thing. But it is truly addition by subtraction.
Good information from over here in the usa. 🇺🇲 ➡️On the go with c-lo does live chat nascar races. Might wanna check him out on you tube. He's got a great set up for nascar races. And the cars have a giant wrap on them. Not a paint job. 4 wide at talledega is always a possibility. You want to be leading or waaay in the back to avoid wrecks. You don't wanna be in the middle lane running say 6th to 15th. Next race is charlotte motor speedways "roval". Witch is a 1/2 oval 1/2 roadcourse. Kinda like rockingham in the U.K. and they just reconfigured the infield road course and some other changes also. I've been to the track for this race. I ❤ love it. Only roadcouse you can sit up in the stands ( especially the tallest grandstand--the ford tower.) And see the entire track. Go back and watch the 2020 nascar xfinty roval race on you tube. It was raining 🌧HARD. Only race nascar has ever done racing in the rain at NIGHT. Drivers had a hard time seeing the track going through the dark infield. I was there. It was crazy. The grand stands were empty from covid. There was a permanent mist/cloud of water hanging above nascar turn 2 from the race cars zinging around that part of the track with the goodyear rain tires sqweegeing the rain off the track at 140mph.
You got to see pretty much everything for your first Talladega. Massive big one, four wide for an incredibly long time, photo finish. Everything but a Chastain win. BTW, been to Talladega, and unless you are going for the spectacle don't bother. You can see very little of the action so you spend the whole time watching the big screens they have along the front stretch. You may as well stay home and watch it on TV, the beer is a lot cheaper.
I remember the massive amount of cheers that happened when Gordon wrecked at Bristol in '97. A lot of us (myself included) couldn't stand Gordon back then. It wasn't until 2007 that I started coming around on him, when I realized I'd rather see him win a fifth title than Johnson win a second one.
Was a Jeff Gordon fan myself this was the best win ever and this was My favorite Martinsville race ever ofher then 2014 2022 2021 and he'll always be a 5 time champion to me and the 2015 Martinsville race I was watching it and I like Joey logano and Matt kensith a lot but Joey logano did kinda deserve it.
Gordon was never my favorite driver, but that day all of us were Jeff Gordon fans. I got emotional watching him celebrate like I’ve never seen him celebrate before. And then when he got emotional at the banquet giving his retirement speech, I got emotional right along with him.
