Hi, Can you please suggest whether 21st October is a good time to visit Perhantian or the monsoons might have started. Second can tou please suggest the bus route from Perhantian to Langkawi. What time is the last ferry from Kuala besut to Perhantian?
@@g10thkr hello there. Yes 21st October is still fine to visit perhentian islands, even though it is near to monsoon season on the east coast. Boat services will still be available before November. As for journey from perhentian to langkawi, you can take a bus from kuala besut or jertih bus terminals to alor setar. You can refer to the ticket counters at the bus terminals I mentioned above or you can check at online bus ticketing like easybook.com. From alor setar you can take a taxi or grab ride to kuala kedah jetty and then take a boat from the jetty to langkawi island.
@@g10thkr as for the last boat from kuala besut, usually around 4:30pm to 5pm (most boat companies). But if you're late than that, you can always ask around some of the boat services at the kuala besut jetty as you could always find a boat service that still operate until 7pm.
I didn't see it when I was there but before going there I checked on info Sg petani FB page about a post on mcdota. Few people commented they have halal certification from JAIK, and the staff/kitchen crew are all malay muslim. When I was there I found that the staff are all malay.
@@WanderingMunchers Thanks for d info. But i wonder why franchises nowadays are so shy to display the certificates nowadays. I think it would attract more customers if they display it clearly on their main entrance.
@@wan_jing9742 from my observation of the place, it looks like the interior decor hasn't been revamped since the 1990s or latest in the 2000s. Perhaps they didn't think it's a necessity to put the halal sticker/sign at the entrance as it is commonly known in the local Muslim community that the place is halal certified since decades ago. That's just my theory.
@@WanderingMunchers well it varies here in Batu Pahat. They have new deco and all sorts of modern thing but no halal symbol displayed. Pity. Some people just need assurance.
Both dishes sedap. Can also order extra bread if one is not enough. Some hawker also sells prepacked durian at the food court on the Chinese section but I didn't check the price.
I pernah mandi at the beach in front of angsana before the hotel was built. I think it was in 2014. I still have a video of it. That time the beach didn't look anything as nice as how it is now. Lots of work and clean up were done. Now the beach is so nice hahaha. Ya lah, must make sure beach is nice for luxury hotel guests.
@@pishedblokeyeah mahal parking nowadays. That's whyI i usually park across the road from angsana hotel entrance, not a proper parking spot tepi jalan but then no need to pay unless mbpp starts to saman cars in that area. Kena jalan jauh sikit la to get to the beach.
Yeah, they really up their game with both the nasi melayu place and this western place. It's a cosy and relaxing place to enjoy dinner with the family. And the latte is nice too.
Their karipap daging is our favourite, memang sedap. Never missed buying the karipap whenever we stopped by the stall. But unfortunately the stall perished in the fire few months back. Currently mbpp is building a new modern look food court but not sure if the gerai kuih will still operate at the same location. Here's the video of the fire 👇🏼 ru-vid.com3LRfYIfcHKA?si=a1g3HnUvzkPF7DFO
@@WanderingMunchers Ah yes, the fire near Mr. DIY. Kesian lah, I hope they come back quickly. Remember the Astaka ar Rg Bungah, they took like 4 years to rebuild it, then now they charge like RRM1600 per month rental.
Not really, since penang is an island with settlements and large towns, the waters surrounding the island are murky due to sediments coming from the open water and from land. Plus the western coastline of the island is covered with mangrove biome where the shores are mostly muddy beaches. But most sandy beaches on the island are safe to take a dip-in. The water is not crystal clear but is mostly clean
Nanti saya pi try seksyen 7.
Ya la bro. It's now one of the famous KL nasi kandar. Most foodie youtubers mesti datang sini. But before pandemic not like this la. after I posted this video I had a chat with a friend who used to frequent sadam before the place became viral. It was his usual hangout spot some 8-9 years ago when he lived in KL. He told me, before, the place was never crowded. No long queues like nowadays. Only people in the area go to sadam. But yeah that's the power of social medias. Anyway sadam is for me sedap la, worth the hype
@@WanderingMunchers That's good news for the business owners I guess. But I have received some negative comments from people because we highlight some less famous local places, from people who are "afraid" their favorite place becomes viral. Sigh. Social media can also be a very weird place. 😁
@@pishedblokehahaha, as if we have 50k followers that if we highlight certain local places that are unknown to most, it will make it viral. I mean it could happen one day 😁 but I don't see it happening any time soon. So, for the time being we just do what we do best. Eat and make video 😂
Chicken grill for me was delicious. Also the nasi goreng was flavourful. Usually this kind of fusion dishes at some places I've been to, the nasi goreng is usually bland. Price also affordable and the place have aircond some more. Chicken chop at padang brown food court almost the same price but without the same dining comfort, and noisy 😁
Yes that's true. Our variety of food is second to none. Been to our neighbouring country in the north, they have delicious food but the menu is always the same when I ate at few of their restaurants.
Looks delicious and I too, am a cheese naan fanatic. 😍 Props to Faree’ah for giving us an awesome demo of that. Hope your Ramadan is going great so far!
Oh yes the cheese naan is good. It's Faree'ah and asma's favourite order whenever we go to the restaurant. They never order anything else 😁. I myself never ordered cheese naan because I'm more of a rice person 😋. Alhamdulillah our ramadhan here in penang is going great except for the hot weather 😭
The biryani is really good there. I've tried the mutton biryani before and it was delicious. Between tandoori chicken biryani and regular chicken biryani, tandoori is better for me personally. The chicken biryani uses chicken curry. Their Cheese naan is my wife's and daughters favourite. They always order cheese naan whenever we go eat there. If you're more adventurous try out their Pakistani specialities, especially their mutton dishes.
Actually it was by chance. We planned to have lunch at mee abu on the same road. But the nasi kandar stall there only open petang, and only have mee goreng and mee rebus. I must have nasi no matter what so after mee abu, we went to zam zam. Last i was in alor setar was back in year 2000. So long ago
@@WanderingMunchers Mee Abu there is another branch at Jalan Sultanah, that is the one I usually go, not so log queue, taste almost the same. The important thing is to tambah the paru lembu... that is my fave. Selamat Berbuka bro... :)
Zam zam bagi saya antara nasi kandar kedah yg top. Orang loqstaq sendiri pun ada yg cakap nasi zam zam ni lagi padu dari nasi lemak royale. Tapi itu pendapat masing2 la kan.
Yeah, I passed by so many times before too especially at night. I also thought it was a steamboat and buffet place. But apparently in the morning until noon they have local street dishes, goreng2 mamak etc. While steamboat and buffet are available only in the evening. I check their FB page, they only posted and promoted the steamboat at night and nothing about breakfast options. It's a good option for breakfast and brunch if you're in the area.
Kalau pi time cuti sekolah, susah juga parking kat atas Gunung. Haritu saya pi baru ni hari selasa lepas, kena beratur nak masuk parking, tunggu giliran kereta yg nak keluar.
