I swapped from a 4.08 to a welded 3.92 on my manual SC, took away a tiny bit of drone and made it more fun to slide around now and then. but I want to get myself a 2 Way or 1.5 Way LSD to make it more enjoyable of a car to daily and save my tires, axles, wheel bearings etc. Great video comparing the 4.27 and 4.08! Lots of good info.
There is also a 3.27 IIRC because when they swapped to the 5 speed auto, it needed a shorter gear ratio. That is the best diff for good gearing for a CD009 Setup from what I’ve heard.

With aem being discontinued wondering if EMU BLACK would be next best ecu to aem as far as 2tep and anitlag? Seems like haltech doesnt have the awesome bangs and flames, which ecu would you prefer for is300 NA T setup?

How does the stand alone Aem work with the 1jz non vvti with the body chassis harness? My current problem, 1jz non vvti engine is all bad. Wires was snipped off at the ecu. I was told I will will a obd 1(grey plugs) engine harness connecting to the obd-0(yellow harness plugs) everything is still oem on my 87 supra 7mgte Turbo
I’m original owner on a 85 MKII that I have under a carport while I plan its restoration. I was cranking and driving well until last year when my fuel pump stopped. After seeing the dash and innards on your Supra, I was left with great hope! It was in worse shape than mine. Thank you for showing what I can look forward to!!!
@@Stevo1301 I would assume it would need machined. But maybe you could take the entire motor and crank and pistons and rods and have a machine shop measure it and just recommend the correct size bearings.
@@tannermcguire7713 hey bro, so I'm doing a belt on a 3.0 1mzfe. 2002 Camry. I set the crank to TDC but the cams are exactly 2 teeth before their marks. The belt was very bad and loose. I think it jumped 2 tooth on the crank gear causing it to be off by 2 at the cams.
Getting started on my own 2JZ GE and from the time I've done research I still cant decide what parts to run. Looking to hit 800-1000hp. Was looking at what Mazworx puts into their blocks but thats for like pushing 1200+
Nice video man, very informative. How much boos would you run on a 2jz ge non vvti with a gte geadgasket, 980cc injectors, ecu master black, pulsar g35-900 turbo, and what sort of numbers you think at the recommended boost ? It's a drift build.
