Thank you so much for the kind comment! We’re glad you enjoyed the video. ☺️ It’s lovely meeting people at these local campsites, and a wonderful community around the north coast! ☺️
Nice chilled video enjoyed watching, your retriever made me smile, looks as daft as mine was, and brought back many happy memories, she lived a long happy adventurous life until 15 years old but unfortunately didn't make it to Scotland with me. Best wishes 👍 Subscribed 👍
Thanks very much for the kind comment and subscribing, we’re glad he made you smile. Sounds like you gave your golden retriever a long and happy life! ❤️
Beautifully made video of the NC500. Looks like you scored with the weather☀️ Thanks for the tour. New follower here with golden retriever and caravan.
Thank you so much! We got very lucky in that it didn’t rain until the last day of our trip ☺️ Thanks for subscribing! We’ve subscribed back, it’s hard to beat golden retriever content 😄
We hope you enjoy some of the epic scenery that Scotland has to offer, the Kyle of Tongue sunset footage is some of our favourite! If you're planning your own trip, please remember to be considerate drivers (particularly if you're in a bigger motorhome) and to take your rubbish home with you, so that everyone can continue to enjoy the beauty that Scotland has to offer. If you've enjoyed, we'd appreciate a wee like and a subscribe, and we'll hopefully see you again in the next video.

Great video, Donna and Elliot. You have captured amazing scenery and views of the East Coast of Scotland. It is such a beautiful place to visit. Yogi was delighted to feature too 😂
We've started a new site for posting hike reports and some of Elliot's epic photos for anyone who'd like to read a bit more: scottishadventures.co.uk/munros/carn-na-caim-and-a-bhuidheanach-bheag-hike-report/
This video is a little different than our usual videos as we haven't got out into the hills for a few weeks, but hope you enjoy a little silliness exploring one of the parks in Glasgow from Lewis's (Golden Retriever) point of view! We might try another one from Skye's (Border Collie) point of view in the future, as it might be a smoother experience 🤪
Well done.😊👏👏 Cracking day you guys got for this.Meall a Bhuiridh was my first mountain in full winter. The snow was right down to the car park and it was some slog up to the summit. So worth it for the views.😎👍
Thank you Andy! 100% the views were worth the hike! We're patiently waiting for a break in the storms so that we can get up and enjoy another munro or two before the end of the winter season...
This is our first time doing bits to camera 🙈 should we do more of them?! Hopefully many more opportunities to get into the hills this winter. We couldn't have asked for better conditions for our first hike of the year!
Yes, you should do a bit more 'bits to camera' as long as you keep focus on the adventure and scenery. Nice balance between video and stills 🙂 PS: What is the difference between crampons and micro spikes? PPS: No, it's definitly not cheating to take the chairlift at the end of a streneous hillwalk😉
Thank you @karlejnarch! We’ve definitely been having more fun experimenting with videos lately. 😊 Crampons are a bit heavier / spikier (and more expensive…) than micro spikes, but we’re glad we invested in these crampons as we’d tried cheap micro spikes in the past and had to retreat before reaching the summit! Glad you agree, we felt a little cheeky taking the chair lift down 😇
This is a great video, taking us places far from our home base 😀 The scenery is amazing! Thanks for this authentic and well-crafted video! Loved it! Will make sure to also watch the others...
Amazing, it was so nice to have met you both, and i got a shout out on your video wicked... What a nice place you stayed in.. Maybe see you around the world again some day.. I just got mack from Milan over Xmas..
Thank you! It would be lovely to bump into you again someday, hoping to see some nice videos from Milan! We had a very relaxed break for the holidays, but plenty of adventures around Scotland and Ireland coming up for us this year. :)
Hi Donna & Elliot. This video came up as a suggestion after I'd watched Kids on Crags' walk up the same too hills. I've now subbed. I only started hillwalking seriously last July at 67! So far I've bagged 2 Munros, 3 Corbetts, 7 Fionas and 6 Sub2000. All except one Corbett done this year. I walk with a Golden Retriever as well. His name is Skye and he's 8 years old. He is very good at finding the paths ahead of me but he also seems to prefer the muddy ones 😉Will have a closer watch on a few other videos on you channel. Take care and Happy Hogmanay 🥳
Hi Karl! Thanks so much for watching and commenting, never too early or late to make the most of getting into the mountains. 😁 Great going so far, maybe we’ll meet you up there someday! We’re hoping to bag a load more in 2024. Our Border Collie is called Skye, the Golden Retriever is Lewis (island themed!). Skye is 13 so had to retire from our Munro adventures back in April, we documented that on our channel too, you should give it a watch! He wouldn’t be a golden retriever if he didn’t find the muddiest of paths 😁 All the best, Happy Hogmanay to you too! Lang May Yer Lum Reek 🥃✨
The weather was certainly ok-ish 😆It was mostly very windy, overcast and some rain but overall we got pretty lucky. The photos on the airbnb listing didn't do the boathouse justice, it was an incredible base 😍
Thank you @shinertom142! We travelled to the Faroe Islands in mid-September and tried our luck without booking in advance. We took the 8:20am ferry from Klaksvík (Winter Route) and arrived about an hour before the crossing to guarantee a spot. The ferry filled up and some cars had to wait until the next ferry at 10am (which was our backup option)! We used this website for the timetable: www.ssl.fo/en/timetable/ferry/56-klaksvik-sydradalur There is ferry parking at the ferry terminal and buses on Kalsoy Island if you want to cross as a foot passenger, but it does mean you're at the mercy of public transport on a very scarcely populated island. :)
_Cool and interesting hiking adventure video: this Drangarnir hike showcases nature's splendor and the unwavering spirit of the hikers, offer a dose of motivation and inspiration. Thank you for sharing your insight and expertise with the world._
I know the area very well. You had a good day for it. My border collie passed at 15. She did our last one at 13. They are wee soldiers. You've got know when it's time to make it easier for them but still have them out in grass mud and Heather. They love it. No better feeling than sitting in the sun up a Munro with your pooch. 😊
We got very lucky with the weather! 😊 We don’t know Skye’s exact age as she’s a rescue, but she’s roughly 12-ish and starting to show signs of arthritis in her legs so she’ll continue to enjoy the less physically demanding adventures from now on. They both had a wonderful day up the mountains with us on Saturday, so she’s going out on a high. 🐾
