Hey there, welcome to my cozy corner of the internet! I'm all about blending the tranquil vibes of ASMR with the intricate craft of fly tying. You'll hear the gentle rustle of feathers and the soft tinker of tools as I follow recipes (or create new ones) to make magic on the fly. Snuggle up, grab your headphones, hit that subscribe button, and let's tie some flies!
I’m obsessed with your videos 😭 I would also love to hear your voice more because it’s literally so relaxing and the audio quality is so crisp PLS DO A TALKING ASMR VIDEO SOON!!! ❤️🩹❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️
Ok this is a great tie but it can be a spectacular tie if it was tied with all natural materials. Id love see some your more traditional ties. Grate job!!!
This is such a beautiful and unique talent for a person to have, I feel bad falling asleep to it occasionally, since I usually sit and watch these videos all the way through. I only stumbled upon this channel by pure coincidence while researching the art of making lures and such. I wanted to know what my brother found so cool about it and I finally understand. Thank you!
This is so amazing!!! I’m so glad you’re able to see some of what your brother sees as so special about this craft. Don’t feel bad for falling asleep! These are made to be comfort videos! 🥰
I would honestly love to see a video explaining how you got into fly tying! I stumbled across your videos and just really adore all the fun designs you do, it’s honestly really relaxing watching these little intricate designs get their personality as they’re being created! 💖
Commenting for the algorithm, PS... I could (and have now) watch these for hours on end. Don't know that I have watched them all, but most. Love them!!
I’ve never seen anything like this before, let alone so high quality. I love seeing other women in unique fields of work/interest! Especially with the kind of skill you have!!
>:oO hes so fluffy! He even got a haircut and a dyejob! Want one as a desk pet.....maybe if i clipped the hook off itd be safe. So cute. So strangely cute. Does it mimic any real creatures?
Hi Robert!! Any relation to Rune Westphal? So glad you liked the videos! Both the nail polish and some chrome nail powder are in this list (it’s a list for Alphlexo crab supplies, but same stuff): www.amazon.com/shop/shetiesflies/list/NP92DJNV9ANF?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_aipsflist_aipsfshetiesflies_8PH5P46TNJMSFKCVZA4H
Wow! Its been a long time since I've been this fascinated while simultaniously trying not to fall asleep because of how relaxing this is. Amazing work, keep it up!
I love learning about niche hobbies! You very clearly love doing this and I appreciate the effort and attention to detail you put into your crafts. I’m curious, do you plan these designs all out before starting the project, similar to having crochet/knitting patterns, or do you just freestyle it?
I’m typically using patterns and then embellishing/tweaking to my liking. I’ve been a fiber artist for over a decade and have a room in my house dedicated to all things wool (knitting, weaving, spinning, sewing, felting) so I appreciate the comparison!
I love watching this kind of art because if I didn't already know what was happening I probably wouldn't be able to guess what it was until almost the end, and then all of a sudden it's a super realistic crab
I did!! It’s a tiny bit splashy, but no more than a typical Alphlexo crab. Sinks fairly quickly belly side down and imitates a fleeing crab when stripped. I really dig how it behaves in the water!
So intricate, delicate, and beautiful! While part of my heart hurts knowing these lovely little creatures will get thrown in the water and chewed on by a fish, I understand that's their purpose, and it's always satisfying to see something fulfill its purpose. It's nice to know you fish with them. 🐟🐟🐟
We do use them if they make sense for our area/species. 😊 I haven’t worked out what they’d cost made in this style, but a more generic Alphlexo crab would probably be fairly reasonable
Been tying flys for years, never thought that watching someone else do it would be so relaxing. Thanks. You have a new subscriber. By the way, if you need any squirrel tails, i have tons. Just let me know where to send it.
@@shetiesflies since I live in Alaska, " egg sucking leaches" tied with marabu and a red yarn head in different colors. Due to the fact that when salmon hit fresh water, they stop feeding. So you have to trigger their protective response. Also, I tie a goofy purple thing that was supposed to be a joke on a friend. Wound up that It catches the larger dollyvarden in the river . I tie horsehair bugs for pike and mosquito flies for higher up the river. Gnat flies and wooly buggers for other spices. Sometimes I tie flies on the bank to match the hatch of mayflies and the like. Nymphs or dry flies. Can tie most. But have never seen your crab flies. Am curious if that pattern would work up here. I carry a small graphite vise and a small selection of thread and hooks in my creel.
I love these videos! It makes me want to learn how to make these. I wonder in the future if you’d try turning down the music a tad so we can hear more of the other sounds. Either way these are so amazing 😊
