just be aware of that the speakers cant re produce under 50 hz well so your kick gonna be shit.
@MuteProduction
@MuteProduction 6 дней назад
@@BFHPET idk who’s speakers your talking about but it’s definitely not true for my system and any system at a party. You also need to understand that the frequency of the last node is never actually happening and the actual ‘fundamental’ of the kick is happening in the 40-50hz range.
@BFHPET
@BFHPET 6 дней назад
@@MuteProduction okay i just heard that so why does the tail not happen?
@MuteProduction
@MuteProduction 6 дней назад
@@BFHPET its a mixture of the amp envelope closing before that frequency is reached and the fact that it’s a logarithmic time scale for the pitch nodes meaning the sweep sort of slows down the further through it gets
@BFHPET
@BFHPET 6 дней назад
@@MuteProduction i heard you can use the curves to get lower but the end of the tail need to be over 49 hz
@MuteProduction
@MuteProduction 6 дней назад
@@BFHPET you can if you like. I recommend you don’t worry about what it says in kick2 so much and focus on the response in an analyser. Also reference some pro kicks so you can see the spectrum they have.

I don't get it, why that SAW from noise has different FM effect than just the SAW from OSC2 :\ As they sound quite identical on their own - SAW from noiseOSC and SAW from OSC2

A question - why are you using the Noise OSC instead of the B OSC? If all that happens is having a Sawtooth Waveform, i don't see what the point of the noise is. I am seriously interested! Not trying to criticize your method here.
@justinrobinson1162
@justinrobinson1162 9 дней назад
The noise oscillator is what he’s using to frequency modulate OSC A, pay close attention to 2:02-2:30 and watch how he routes the noise OSC into OSC A and then adjusts the dial to taste after
@bl8de3
@bl8de3 9 дней назад
@@justinrobinson1162 yes. i get that. but he could do the same thing with osc b. doing it that way just seems counterintuitive.
@MuteProduction
@MuteProduction 9 дней назад
fm from b is phase modulation, this is actual fm. in this patch it is inconsequential but i just like the sound of real fm over pm
@MuteProduction
@MuteProduction 9 дней назад
experiment with the two different modulation types and you will hear a very clear difference, particularly when you change the pitch of the modulator

When I resynthesize the preset as a wavetable the result is different from what you achieved in the video :/ I wonder if it has anything to do with my version of Vital not having "frequency" as an option and me using "tempo" instead?

thanks for the knowledge. Do you do volume adjustment on the base, after the final processing of the velocity range and lfo tool to be in this 2db range (from kick to base) or you just leave it and trust your ears and not the "rule".
