FlowZone Battery Powered Sprayers | Dump the Pump!
At FlowZone, we focus on relieving the weight of traditional handheld pump sprayers.
Our unique battery-powered backpack sprayer serves a multitude of home and service professionals. We believe in empowering all our users to get their work done quickly and efficiently.
Seems to be similar to Milwaukee's backpack but theirs is a completely closed system with the pump and hose attached to the tank so when you swap tanks on the base you can go straight to spraying the new product. This system the hose and pump are part of the base and not the tank so when you swap them you have to purge the system each time. Just doesn't seem worth it to me. Good try tho, look forward to storm v3.
We are keeping our distributors in stock as a first priority! You can check with your local pest or landscape chemical distributor and most are in stock. If you want to find a retail location near you that may have these, please contact us at support@wessol.com or 803-339-2500
The only thing that upsets me is the 1 gallon comes with an indoor hose why in the world would I want a 2 gallon backpack when I have a 4 gallon pack back already? I bought the 2 gallon thinking that I was getting a better machine I was wrong.
The simple answer is: less weight on your back. The SwapTank allows you to only carry 2 pounds of liquid weight on your back (16 pounds) and then easily "swap" to another prefilled tank without having to carry the entire 32 pounds of liquid weight on your back. The pump can achieve the same output and pressure without the extra weight.
Thank you for this type of support. I just came in from my garage where I took my typhoon 2 apart before watching this,. Unfortunately it stopped working while full of dyed chemicals, so I am trying to fix it without emptying it. I tested the battery, and side switch which has continuity in both postions. I did not realize there was a switch attached to the bottom of the pump, so that will be tomorrow. I may need your help......
The tank capacity, flow rate, nozzles, carrying straps are all different between the two models. For more information please visit our landing page here: fzspray.com/pages/storm
@@JustPerfectHomeServices no they are quite different. Our Australian distributor is WorkM8 Group, with their availability showing here: www.workm8group.com.au/ They should have the 1 and 2-gal Storms in stock as well.
My Cyclone Flowzone battery now flashes green and does not charge. The Flowzone site indicates I'm using the wrong charger...which is the charger I've always used and came with my sprayer directly from Flowzone. When I put a voltmeter on the charger, it shows 21V, so what's up with that?
We are happy to help you resolve this issue! Could you please contact us at support@wessol.com? Please send us picture of the battery and charger with output information showing on both. When was the sprayer purchased? Please also send an invoice showing date of purchase to verify it is within the one year warranty.
I just bought a 2 1/2 gallon storm. Mine does not look like it has some of the features that this one does. Wonder if I bought one that’s older and outdated?
Your 2.5-Gallon Storm is a current model! Please follow this link to view the operation guide: cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0514/0293/2423/files/FZVAAG-2.5_operation_guide_47a63816-2928-48c0-8f63-ba39ec92691a.pdf?v=1654107181
@@LOLSNAPED the 1-gallon sprayer has a lower output pump which is preferred for indoor spraying, whereas the 2-gallon sprayer has a higher output pump, which is preferred for outdoor perimeter treatment applications (for example)
@@FlowZoneSprayer that’s where you’re wrong because you can buy the 2 gallon with a stronger pump and better features and order the tip like I did. It has no drift and it’s better than the 1 gallon.
Our products are largely IN STOCK at most pest and landscaping distributors, please reach out to our support staff if you'd like to find a retail location in your area with stock via +1 803-339-2500 or support@wessol.com.
A lot of times you can fix the existing dial! Sometimes debris will get stuck in the dial area and will not let the knob turn. Just apply some WD-40, apply around the crevice of the dial, rotate a few times, re-apply, it should loosen up any debris that might be stuck. If this does not work, we have replacement front cover plates available for purchase through our website and distributors that contain a new dial.
Love the new wands. Keep up the good work guys. Only issue with FZ sprayers is that they last too long, the one I have now won’t break, so can’t buy these new ones.😉
Absolutely dumb design having to take the entire back off The brand I have now “My4Sons” I just unscrew the hose off the side and clamp a new one on in 45 seconds
Lessons learned...DO NOT BUY Flowzone. I bought aTyphone in June 2021. As a DIY home-owner, I used it 6 times in the last two years and it stopped working. I followed the company's troubleshooting video and found out its circuit board broke. The company offers a one-year warranty on such a fragile product. Stay away.
If the applicator is spraying insecticide, he should be wearing more PPE. Like chemical resistant cover alls, chemical resistant gloves, hard had with a face shield, and a respirator. As a pest control technician you should be trying to keep your exposure as close to 0 as possible.
My Typhoon 3 is brand new and only sprays for about 10 seconds at a pop and stops spraying. The pump is running but nothing comes out until I wait about 10 minutes. Was super disappointed it did this the first two times I’ve used it. Not sure if pump is bad or if I’m doing something wrong.

Same thing with my Flozone. Super disappointed. My sprayer has 2 gallons of water and chemicals in it so this isn't helpful when you've mixed and filled the sprayer and you're getting ready to start a job.
Bought a refurbished spraymate 2.5 for $90 just for glyphosate purposes only for around my pond. Really happy and impressed with how well it sprays. Cut my time down by 50% from pumping my old ace hardware sprayer. Now i can keep my Flowzone cyclone free from any glyphosate chemicals.
Flowzones kick ass. You need to regularly clean them to maintain them. I had the old two way toggle switch typhoon that was outlasting others newer rotating, multi power switch with the slim battery lol I was using all kinds of professional insecticides only applicators can use, IGRs, etc. If you let your product sit in your tank DUH it's gonna clog, and 9/10 it's the screen filter on the bottom clogged with grass, dirt, residual, etc. Just gotta run it under the hose with soapy water and scrub the shit off with a brush, run water through it and you're gold. If you can't figure out beyond that, like simply disassembling a small pump, lol... I used that one for 16-18 stops a day for more than a year. Beast of a pack with regular maintenance.
Yes it has the same "waterproof microswitch" as Series 2.5. The part number for this is FZRAGT. Like all other parts, this is covered under our 1-Year Limited Warranty.
Yes sir, that's what Chris is referring to in the video re: sodium hypochlorite. A diluted bleach mixture like 6% is considered a strong mix and can be used on heavy organic growth. For just regular or preventative maintenance, a 3% mixture is adequate. Most bleach at retail stores comes in a 12% dilution, so you would dilute that further depending on how much you are spraying.
Battery last up to 1 hour on "Eco Mode" and ½ hour on "Boost Mode." We have extra batteries available for technicians that need to apply for longer periods of time. For routes that need to do ~20 residential properties, we recommend 3 batteries total.
The Typhoon 2.5 has been good to my pest control business, so far. What I would love to see, someday, is a version that has even more pressure settings. One more pressure setting that's much lower, similar to a 25-30 psi fan spray from a B&G hand tank would be great. We don't usually need this much pressure and insecticide volume. It's taken some getting used to. I have had to reduce the amount of concentrate in the tank by about 50% to avoid over- application. Using the current lowest setting has also required us to carry twice as much water on the trucks, and increase the weight load on the technician. 40-50 pounds on my back. If I had a 25-30 psi setting, we could carry less water on the truck and carry half as much water weight on our bodies. 16+ pounds less. It will save our backs from further repetitive injury from wear and tear.
I agree with you completely. I have had to use an air induction nozzle to reduce drift even when it's not windy. I am now opting for the variable pressure backpack from Fountainhead Group. Even the spray wand is more ergonomic
You need to slow down the demonstration on the top loop install. Also, his hand is getting in the way of the install. We are not interested in seeing how fast he can install the comfort straps. The comfort straps are 1000x better than the straps that came on the Tyhpoon V2.
