I’ve watched this vid a dozen times really because I enjoy the music so much. What is this song “I’m going off the deep end”? I can’t seem to find it anywhere. All I can find is Pricilla Block and that’s not it.
It was my brothers band like 3 bands ago. They were Jam Samich out of Waterford MI. I found a link to one of their old live shows archive.org/details/jamsam2011-11-23. I hope this helps!
Also, I think the album it was off of was called the inflatable gorilla disaster. When I get home, I’ll see if I can find a place where it’s downloadable online. It was a great album!
Ok I got home. From that live archive I linked the song you are looking for is track 13. Also you may be able to download those tracks. I also find someone selling the original album on eBay. www.ebay.com/itm/304781686529?_trkparms=amclksrc%3DITM%26aid%3D1110006%26algo%3DHOMESPLICE.SIM%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20190917065201%26meid%3D391475581197407e84548b9aac1e481b%26pid%3D100935%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D12%26sd%3D203200225419%26itm%3D304781686529%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D0%26pg%3D2332490%26algv%3DSimplAMLv9PairwiseUnbiasedWebCpr08MlcBERTGreedyV3KnnRecallV1&_trksid=p2332490.c100935.m2460&amdata=cksum%3A304781686529391475581197407e84548b9aac1e481b%7Cenc%3AAQAHAAABEFVAfz4vmJboe8N%252FfRYfRpkGnGuVpKoiKJ1XR%252FPBbEk2IyDS9eHJSGUt14M5EGunOBPNQImpe2ExIwtTF9FZzceUT5piJ58pSF2nDZzFeLvBNKF7wJWGmTHZFUfn3fRa2EArc9UAYfHKf%252BIyqNaV3ZwoLmM9tnti6%252FsHDjC26zwka3VHJpPm%252F6ZVlYT2BaMI0ucYTUP5hGAXWvTbMsTIwE2mb4ghd6oAwr%252F2eaZ8r%252Fei5BsWNEXyJmDje2ieAaxoDAiD6IflPT0clOLKG8%252BykgiU%252BLCeIWO%252B1nGcx6g%252FOSPapvSqK34MZbnh95MwwAuItAqwJagwc95Ui8TnGzgtEEOGTc1vEjizlpaOensHHPxa%7Campid%3APL_CLK%7Cclp%3A2332490&epid=3051398562
Dude you are awesome!!! I’ve been listening to them all afternoon and they Rock!!! Wish I could find a clean copy(without the drunks in the background) LOL Thanks very much…😊
Nice video. The GL500 is great bike. I enjoyed mine. I have also owned dozens of motorcycles and these SilverWings are at the top of my list. I also had the GL650 Interstate and in my opinion it's an even better version of this bike. Although they are both great in their own ways. He mentioned revving the engine and feeling the engine want to torque the bike to one side. That only happens in neutral. In gear the torque is cancelled out by the transmission which ingeniously spins the other direction. I had so much fun on both of my GL Interstates. The fairing is the same one off the GL1100 and was used on the CB900 Custom. Combined with winter lowers (which are rare) it's has the best wind protection I have ever had on any bike I have owned, It's a shame that many of them are being chopped up to become bobbers, etc.
Hello! May I ask..... Where exactly were you "battoning" on the knife? The handle itself or where? And how aggressive were you swinging? I just got my second KBAR after over 30 years of a police officer stealing mine. Yeah! He locked me up in the patrol car handcuffed of course, and went back to my car to dig. The knife was not hidden but lying right beside the driver's seat in PLAIN sight. He came back to the patrol car, sat down, pulled off and said, "nice knife". Well I got charged with a youthful offender DWI. Yes I deserved the charge. Well back then they left your car on the side of the interstate and did not immediately have it towed. When I got back to my car the next day my doors were locked, stereo system still there, equalizer, subs and all. Even the loose change was still there. But knife...... Gone!!! So the cop stole it or some one broke into my car and stole only the knife and then relocked the doors. You decide? Anywho!!!!! I finally replaced it and was wondering exactly how you bent it. Thanks for your time
Old time chief instructor here, and have owned about 50 motorcycles. I think this video is one of the best informative motorcycle videos I have seen on RU-vid. You did a great job and the photography is spot on. This should help lots of new riders thinking about touring bikes.
Redline would be closer to 85 -90 but honestly I don’t know that you would ever get to redline in top gear. There’s just not enough power to get there against the wind. That’s probably why they didn’t add another gear. 65-70 was her favorite. 55 on the country roads was even more comfy.
That’s funny, because I felt the complete opposite. I rode mine all over the state. As well as commuting on it. I loved the bags for carrying all of my luggage. And maybe it just seemed so good on the freeway because I had just upgraded from a ninja 250. That thing redlined at 14,000 RPMs and I would cruise on the freeway around 9.5 to 10,000.
My older brother had a Silver wing in the early 80's He also had a Goldwing aspencade, which he took on cross country trips. But the Silver wing was a really great and supriseingly powerful around town and short jaunt bike. Great engine never any problems with the bike and a blast to ride !
Michael Coulter it’s a great bike. Sadly I haven’t been riding it. I moved onto a dirt road, and had kids. So riding became quite a hassle. I may actually be selling it as soon as it warms up a bit more.
Great looking scoot. My little bro used to commute from San Angelo State to Houston on the weekends. You are absolutely right about reliable. Bulletproof barely begins to describe this thing. Change the fluids and keep good tires on it and it will serve you well for years.
This is quite odd, since KA-BAR obviously said they don't cover defects caused by batoning in the warranty, but somehow they will still replace the knife for you without any signs of rejection, which is really strange I hope those guys at the KA-BAR could explain a little more about their warranty
I’ve got 2 little girls and limited free time these days it’s probably going up for sale this spring. I love it but it’s built to be ridden and I don’t want to leave it sitting too long, someone should be enjoying it.
Those Silver wings are kinda hard to find in the southwest. My parents are giving me the boot and idk if I should just get a car or spend the extra money to get a bike. The thing is its hard to find smaller bikes like this for cheap. Mind giving me your opinion on my situation?
Honestly, if it’s one or the other, I would always go car. The bike has way too many limitations even in the southwest where the weather is mostly nice.
More often than not,.....I tend to dislike videos because of loud,..obnoxious music that people tend to play. YOU guys,..picked the perfect song for this video!!! Great job,..AND,...great video!!!
the real saying about being warmed up by your wood is it warms you once when you cut it,it warms you a second time when you haul it,and it warms you the third time when you burn it,ive heard that old saying to many times kind of know it by heart now, lol, enjoyed you'r vid looks like you guys had a load of fun which is the main thing, thanks for the vid.
Actually, on Isle Royale there are no bears. There are wolves, but they always stay as far away from people as possible. The things you have to look out for stealing your food, are your hungry hiking partners.
I recently contacted kabar customer service about the blade of one of the tanto bending about 1/3 back from the tip, they informed me that it did not affect the performance or strength of the blade and that it actually was to be expected when having a long thin blade
I live in the U.P. of Michigan and we still need to go backpacking on Isle Royale. This was the very first backpacking video that I ever watched on RU-vid a few years ago. Excellent 4 part series!
Thanks! I had more I wanted to make from that trip, but I got a much busier life shortly after those videos. You've gotta see that island if you like backpacking. Start planning now to go over the summer. You won't regret it!
My wife only gets 1 week off work each year and she wants to travel to other areas since Isle Royale is in our area. It's still on or list! The Porcupine Mountains is one area close to us that we do a lot of backpacking. Take Care and I hope that you get another chance to go out again someday! Lighter packs will make it a lot more enjoyable. I cut my total pack weight down to under 17 lbs in the last 1 1/2 years.
Awesome bike. Hope you still have it. I have the same model and color. Only diff is mine does not have the driver's seat backrest. That's a VERY nice and rare option. Congrats! Enjoy! Aloha!
I just bought my uncle an 82 SilverWing, same color scheme, but it is not the Interstate edition. it does have the seatbelt style clasps for the hardboxes so I know they would fit. Any idea where we could acquire the kit to move the rear box further out to accommodate a rear seat? If you ever sell it, keep me in mind. It would be awesome to have it along side ours. Take care, ride safe!
Yea, it's hard to get lost on isle royale. The woods are really thick so the trails are really obvious. Also they are pretty well marked with blazes and signs at any intersections. Thanks for watching!
+hannah bokor it really depends on the weather, but at the perimeter campgrounds the bugs weren't bad, at the inland ones they were thick. I'd suggest bringing a head net to put over a hat just in case, it weighs nothing and if you need it you'll appreciate it.
man if you guys ever do that again shout at me. my wife and I went around clockwise last year. we'd love to go counter clock. we're in the Chicago suburbs.
Nice vids. Your buddy Tom's voice sounds identical to mine......weird. I am going to the Jordan River Valley hiking tomorrow for a solo overnighter!! Cheers!
it happened the same to my ontario afsk it happened because it got stuck and i batoned the handle to take it out. word of advice never baton the handle of a knife unless is a real full tang not just a rats tail like the ontario or kabar
