Welcome! As an aviation enthusiast, it gives me great pleasure to produce trip report videos and share my travel experiences with you. You can look forward to many flight reports of different airlines on several routes in Europe, United States, Canada and South Africa. I usually travel in business class and try to show you as much as possible of each flight experience in detail. Subscribe to my channel and follow me on my flights! Enjoy watching!
Lounge access is not always included. If you are travelling international, than you can use the lounge, or if you have a Star Alliance gold status. If you are travelling in first class on a domestic flight without a gold status, then the lounge is not included.
@@jjgreek1 To achieve SAGS you have to spend about 60,000$ on flights within a 12 month period. If you are spending that much money, the'll give you a 30$ lounge access for free no matter where you are flying. If you access via ticket, then the ticket must have an appropriate value, hence an international ticket business class or higher.
Austrian is pretty outstanding in Europe =) I will compare them with Turkish Airlines Business in Europe soon. So don´t forget to subscribe to avoid to miss this
Great video thanks!! I was interested in the very last row. Particularly whether the seats recline less than other seats. But I couldn't figure it out in the video :(
This is actually a Boeing 737-900ER. I can tell because of the extra exit doors that are right behind the wings and before the rear exit doors which are not on the original non-ER 900
They really should have come up with a new interior instead of using the exact same one as in the 777. Looks old and outdated. Kinda destroys all the excitement of the new 787s by making them look the same.
Thanks for your comment =) Well, the interior is not the same as in the 777. I think its a kind of intermediate product. I hope someday they will update their business seats in the whole fleet. But for now the 787 is a huge step forwards, compared to the much older 777s.
Hello, I think you make very beautiful videos, but unfortunately, before your videos, there is always a preview where you show all, but really all the highlights in advance. This unfortunately removes the excitement and curiosity to watch the video. You show the cabin, the food, the takeoff, the landing, just everything that is interesting. I often only watch the first 20 seconds and then stop because I’ve seen everything. It would be nice to see all this in the video and not in the preview. It would be better to have a general intro that you play before all the videos, but not a summary of the video itself. This way, the element of surprise is preserved.
Your video would have been 100% downside is too much vocal commentary it disrupts the great views, next time comment in writing and keep it to a minimal and your channel will grow
Hi and thanks for your suggestion =) its not for long since i use vocal commentary in my video. And this Lufthansa video was one of the first one with vocal commentary. Since then i tried to improve on and one. Subscribe to my channel, to check, if i do better in the future ;)
I flew Austrian from Los Angeles to Vienna in Buiness Class, It was 5 star top notch, got of the plane content and happy, food service fantastic, way to go Austrian.
For those of you who sat in Premium Economy rows 13 or 14, when the person in front of you reclined, could you still see your tv screen? Did you still have enough room? Were you happy with your seat or did the bulkhead look better?
Nicely made video, thanks for sharing! 👍 We flew Austrian pretty often on long haul flights to the US and I'm with you - they are among the best Lufthansa Group has to offer to cross the pond. However, when travelling to Asia Singapore Airlines, JAL or Thai are our first choice. You simply can not beat the service level, hospitality and quality offered by Asian carriers. One thing we really don't like about Austrian is the decision to add the 787 Dreamliner to their fleet. We refuse to fly on this aircraft and hope they revise their decision one day and do what KLM recently did -switch to Airbus! Until than we prefer to fly Airlines such as Air France, KLM or Delta that operate Airbus on their US bound flights.
I live in Houston and have for 30 years (where an airline called "Continental" used to be based). I travelled about 250,000 miles a year on Continental for business. I ALWAYS got upgraded. When they "merged" with United (i.e., got eaten up by them) all I know is everything went downhill with that "merger." It became much harder to upgrade and I lost a ton of mileage.
Thanks for your comment =) You are right and i totally agree with you. This new upgrade-policy is a mess. But i was lucky to fly in front of the curtain, because this flight was part of a long-haul-trip in the Polaris Business.
Do seats 23A/B/C recline please? They are the seats just in front of the toilets and in the video 2:49 seems like there’s very little space behind those seats for them to recline. Thanks
A pitty that most Austrian longrange destinations are in the US, with a lot of other competitors from Europe. Towards Asia they offer just a daily rotation to BKK and NRT (in summer). Why not SIN, ICN, PEK, TPE, MNL,... ??
Yeah, thats a good question. But Austrian will receive "new" Boeing 787 dreamliners to extend their fleet. This will help them to offer new destinations, e.g. Boston (well, also U.S. :D). I am booked on a Austrian 787 flight, so stay tuned for that video soon
On routes to Asia Austrian simply faces too much competiton by carriers offering even higher service standards. If you compare OS to JAL, Singapore Airlines or EVA you'll definetely see a difference in quality.
Bro basically every other US-Europe flight depart "somehow" later because the idea is that it's an overnight flight so you leave at night and arrive in the morning. Same thing from the east coast as the west. It's genius by airlines and tbh, I'm confused by why Austrian doesn't do it.
My seat was 5A, so i walked left at the door. All other passengers of the larger business cabin, the premium eco as well as economy class walked right. So rows 4 and 5 are very quiet during boarding.
@@aviationincredible I was told AFTER I had booked and paid for seat selection as part of my business class fare. They should by right mention this in the fare rules.
Be aware: there are two different seating options of the Boeing 777-300. In the version, which is shown in the video, rows 61 to 64 only have 2 seats at the windows.
