This deck has several cards where the artists definitely reversed the meaning and I'm not sure how I want to handle it. I normally want to focus on the artist intention but flipping card meanings around is frustrating.
It does! I went through it and took my time with each card, noticing what my initial thoughts and intuitive hits were and then read the meaning for the card and looked back at the card to see if I saw the card through a new lens or if I still felt the same. This deck doesn’t pull any punches. It’s snarky, it’s blunt and if you like movies like The Matrix, Star Wars, or if you don’t want to live in 1984, or on Animal Farm, you might enjoy this deck. It’s not the deck I would pull out for a love reading unless they were both techie/gaming people or if I knew they were into those movies/books. This is a deck I reach for when the reading is focused on how to become more of a bad ass, how to overcome fears and doubts, finding freedom, or fighting for what you believe to be right. I’ve also used it a few times while reading for video game developers and they loved it. It helps to have your Rider Waite knowledge and keep that in mind, but also being able to read intuitively with this deck. It will make both you and your client laugh, but I don’t think this would be the deck if you need to deliver a gentle reading. Go with your gut instinct, if you’re not feeling this deck, or you don’t like those movies/books, it might be better to skip this deck for now. If you’re like, oh yeah… I like those movies and books, you’ll probably find connecting with the deck is easy. 🩷
I really wanted to love this deck, but I just don't. I think all the light skins throughout the deck is mostly responsible for that. It wasn't helped by the fact the 9 of pentacles looks like he's releasing some toxic gas there, lol. I don't know, I'm just not wowed by the art, and I wanted to be. I will still buy it because I think working with the deities will make it a really good deep dive deck, and I'm fine with reading intuitively, so the guidebook isn't really a problem. But all things considered, I'm disappointed.
Lmao the 9 of Pentacles! Are you thinking he’s passing gas? I always told the youth athletes I trained, the kid who farted was the only one who did it right. They would always be in the floor laughing at the first fart. Never failed. 😂😂😂 Yeah, I know what you mean about the light skins. It really threw me off for a while. I sat with the deck for about a good month before editing and publishing this review. It wasn’t until editing that I thought, oh… they’re probably supposed to be the Aryans who some believe brought the Sanskrit language with them. I’m going to see if I can connect with this deck. I will probably be on the hunt for another yoga deck though. 🙏🩷✨

Yes, it reminds me of that one too. I started filming a review of Heaven and Earth Tarot, but my neighbor had roof people come out lol we live in a condo so I have to redo that video. They’re both gorgeous ♥️
That stinks, you can also try the deck creator’s website and see if it’s any better as far as price lamucidesign.com/product/baroque-tarot-deck/ But it’s in euros, it’s not a cheap deck.

Just intimidated snd think something bad will happen 😂 Its a cycle that goes around and i get back to point one, have tried a couple times to start my practice but end up in the same way 😝

@evajohansson1872 you might want to pull a single card once a week and focus on that card’s message. The following week pull another. You don’t have to be psychic, especially to work with this deck. That being said, I believe the more you work on your spiritual path, the more likely you will unlock gifts that have been unknown to you. Often, people rediscover something they used to be able to do. It was lost, because someone told them that wasn’t real, and they stopped relying on their natural gifts. I can do a demonstration of a single card pull for you showing how you can use that message for the week 🤙 I was sitting here drinking my coffee looking at my decks like, hmmm… which oracle deck should I do a reading with 🤔 Perfect timing ♥️✨

And a bit intimidated by this deck and cards in general,once i have em it becomes more real that im connecting to something higher thsn me,snd that feels scary. And i start thinking what would they do with me, im just me ,a tiny human 😄 And they are this all knowing snd big spirit. @@evajohansson1872 I love crystals, but it’s really easy to never have enough and have too many all at the same time 😂 Crystals are used in the Bible. Some argue they’re evil, but walk around refusing to give up the big shiny crystal on their ring finger 🤷♀️ I do work with crystals, but I started with one. I recommend either going to a store and looking at them, touching them, and allowing a crystal to pick you. Or, another favorite thing I enjoy doing is going to a place that is very special to me and finding a really cool rock that catches my eye. I pick it up and hold it, rinse it off and see how I feel holding it for a while. Sometimes I put it back, and other times I take it home with me. I also buy gemstone chips and put a few in essential oil blends that I make. Sometimes I make them for friends, I have them close their eyes and pick out three little chips. After they’ve selected their chips, we look up the metaphysical properties for what they selected and their mouths drop. Every time. They seriously doubted that the stones would pick them and be exactly what they needed, but they do. It’s so easy to get distracted by the colors, or be biased, this one is prettier than that one. Or this is a stone I am familiar with… So eyes closed, I really like that. A couple of really good crystals to begin with would be clear quartz crystal, that can be programmed for anything, or selenite is good for cleansing energy. FYI, selenite cannot get wet. Or if you’re looking for protection, maybe go with something like black tourmaline. If you’re feeling fearful, you could do obsidian or a red jasper to ground you. Again, see how you feel while holding the crystals. You will know ♥️

You’re welcome, I’m happy you enjoyed it! In answer to your question about my aversion to AI art lol the movies Terminator and The Matrix made a huge impact on me. They’re pretty much required viewing at least once when my son’s friends come over. I tell them we are going to watch a true story 😂 The photoshopped look I sometimes talk about, it’s when the cards look overly processed. I have some really ugly decks that I love the message of, and I still use them. They’re usually old and out of print, so with technology nowadays, I figure that the print quality in the 2020’s should at least look better than my ugly decks printed over 20 years ago. This is not one of my ugly decks. I think this deck is adorable and it makes manifesting approachable for a lot of people ♥️✨ An ugly deck that I regret recently purchasing is Angels & Auras. I did a review of it and it’s pretty harsh. I really wanted to like it, but I had to be honest in my review. I immediately went online on a hunt for a deck that I could use that I felt better captured the energy of angels and auras. I found Angelic Lightwork and I really like that deck. I reviewed that one too if you want to check those out. But it’s personal preference. Some people might love the artwork and deeply connect with Angels and Auras. I’m not one of them. Different strokes for different folks ♥️✨
I don’t use them all the time, because I’m comfortable making custom spreads, but the handful of times I’ve tried them out, they were easy to use and fun. I also like the look of them, so that’s a plus too. If I had these while I was learning to create custom spreads, I would have used them a lot more.

These are so stinkin cute, but man, those edges, lol! 😅 I have this deck and I had to trim those darn borders off bc they hurt my hands. Believe me, it made a huge difference. I haven't really used it in a while, but now I want to dig it out:) 🙌 😂
OMG lol that thing was a brick 🤣 I was really hoping someone would attack me so I could throw it at them and see what if any cards broke free. The worst deck I have for edges lifting is The Biddy Tarot Deck, and it’s like a plastic card, so I don’t think it’ll ever break in. As long as decks have better edges than that one, I’m like ok, at least it’s not the worst… I do like The Biddy Tarot deck, it’s pretty, but the edges feel horrible in the hands. I wondered if I could trim a plastic card stock, or if they would still be weird from the scissors 🤷♀️ The Wands and Swords swap is only a typo in the beginning of the book. The cards are fine 👍 This deck is so amazing, I love it. My friend has a spider tattoo and he asked me to pull cards on him, he got that Consequences card with the spider on it. The reason he asked the question was in regard to some consequences he is dealing with, we were tripping out on the card and how eerily accurate it was for his situation.
Wow, that's crazy how accurate tarot can be sometimes! Yeah, those edges though, lol. That's a good one to use them as a weapon 😂 Yeah, when I commented earlier I hadn't finished watching yet, so I heard you say that it was a typo & I had to edit it. I was relieved though like you were. I'm totally gonna look for this now. Oh, if you want to trim them, get a guillotine trimmer for like $16 or so if you do a lot of trimming bc it works great!! There's a little measuring involved, but once you get the hang of it, it's easy peasy:)

It sounds like you’re craving something a little happier than a dystopian themed deck right now. I’ve used it in some of my pick a pile readings if you want to see how it reads for me. You might get different intuitive hits than I do, but it might help you choose one way or another.
