AusHoopers is a media platform that showcases Australian basketball talent. There is no social media platform that is dedicated to showcasing basketball talent in Australia like us. We create opportunities for young basketball players by having a platform that can be viewed by colleges, scouts, and coaches worldwide.
@Dan-eh2jp regardless, I'm not sold. He's not a great shooter. Incredible athlete and super explosive, but he is going to need to shoot and make shots on the perimeter the higher he goes.
Good prospect. Decent athlete, strong. Poor shooter. Has time to develop. Does he have the work ethic? Needs to give up rugby like the American equivalent with grid iron. Won't hold my breath.
Don't understand with so much potential to play NBA why you would ruin your body in rugby. As a young guy he has ample amount of energy but soon it will take a toll on your body.
@@nicktaylor2551 82 games in a season (approx. 6 months) and that’s not including finals series, i would say rugby would be the least taxing on the body. Apparently the average NBA career is 4.8 years vs 7-10 years in professional rugby.
@@TheJmp2023 say he plays 4-5 years pro. The average NBA salary 12 million a season and average rugby is 300k. Sorry but NBA is the best option for this kid who is NBA potential
@@nicktaylor2551 I thought the topic was how the body would fair up in both NBA and rugby not salary comparison. Of course NBA salary is a lot more higher but a lot more difficult to achieve than rugby, especially 12 mill a season. Though Ben Simmons contract is an exception to the rule i guess…
Let's just be honest... At the time of the original signing, Roman and Jackjumpers was the WRONG FIT! (Honestly don't know why Roman or his agent were thinking JJs were a good idea, for himself)
@@raven4475 Clearly! Given they have departed before the season has started. I’m not sure it’s his agent’s fault here. Agent did there job - provided his client a great opportunity to a solid club but his client didn’t do his job. Disappointing, missed opportunity.
@@TheJmp2023 Sure... I guess the agent forgot to mention/remind Roman about the JJs last NS (and how that went)... Or the last 18/19 year old which the JJs developed into NBA fringe (or greater) after only a few seasons in their program... At least Adelaide, Cairns, Illawarra and NZ have some history with it.
@@raven4475 I think the issue here is Roman’s application. I can’t see any clubs giving there NS allowance to play another sport (rugby) whilst returning and being injured caused by this sport.
I’m writing my guess/troll for the reason for a big Polynesian kid wanting out so soon …before even opening the clip ,just for funnsies 100% Charles Barkley guaranteed …homesick and missing mums cooking because stew rice and taro
I’ve given Ben Simmons plenty of defence/excuses for the last few years cause he’s Aussie and I think nba people are making to big a deal of shooting % and range from 17ft beyond. But his just one game last year was pitiful and I’m out. I don’t wanna hear another MF$&;in word about him unless it’s a time lapse evidence of his his ability to go consistently 80% from the free throw line and a solid commitment from him that he is now injury free and ready to not just play for his team but make it up to them by playing aggressively at the basket again and doing it for a whole season and playing with some self respect and some heart and prove that you actually want to be here
The guy that literally got 'injured' the day before the new Call of Duty released last year. Dude has an addiction. It's also likely the cause of any spinal problems since he was once seen online for 20 hours straight. He is done.
@@user-cj9yo3qe2l Don't mind either of those teams, Bullets would need to be a DP contract as they already have Rocco as their Next Star & he would play a lot in Cairns. Adelaide just saw Trentyn Flowers get picked up, Mojave drafted and Josh Giddey drafted all as Next Stars... so I don't think it'd be a problem
@@nsfwkoby”eye test” is just a substitute for I don’t know and don’t have any proof. You aren’t a NBA scout or executive, your anecdotal opinion means nothing.
More proof that the NBL isn't even in the top 10 leagues in the world. If the freaking MVP looks like a scrub in the NBA it's no wonder Galloway struggled at the Bucks. Why do Aussies never learn to freaking dribble? He looked lost whenever he had to put the ball on the floor.
His manager, assuming he has one, is ruining his future right now. Either the manager is making the wrong calls or doesn't have the balls to pull his client's head in.
He’s a kid who wants to play rugby. Plenty of kids his age play multiple sports and he might not necessarily want to play basketball for a living. Look at Hugh Greenwood, for example.
