There is a reason the main cap bearings are not lasting as long as they should. Not commonly seen in many other motors. The clearances are much too tight from Factory. Obviously this custmer has really good oil change internvals so everything looks really nice. You should look into speaking with someone in the USA that builds race motors and understands clearances in order to buy bearing that provide slightly better clearances. Keep up the great work!
I recently also changed the cardan flange (the rubber one) and the central bearing. And on the tripod from the back I changed the vaseline at those balls . But after that, I have problems, at a speed after 100 km/h it vibrates and transmits a strange sound (bass) in the car... can you explain to me what is happening or what needs to be done...? Supersprint went too aggressive with 100CEL catalytic. Factory was 200CEL and already borderline. With supersprint 100CEL it is hard to pass smog test every year. That is absurd when you consider price these arrogant Italians charge, thousands of euro to fail smog.
Hey crank, In my case I dont have the x20 female connector at the engine bay. I have an obd2 port (16 pins) going inside the car. I have checked at the k line for the 16 obd2port is pin 7, and the +12 voltage is pin 16. can I bridge pin 7 and 16 in order to enable ECU flash and do all the process through this port? thanks!

Does it need to give fuel when I turn the ignition on,my gives just 1,2 drops in the front,when starting it flows. I have the problem it wont start and the highpresurepump gives zero fuel on the steel lines! I dont have a computer yet. For a answeer I woud be grateful.

Well done. I'm topping up a litre every 500-700 kms on my 1.8 tsi CDAA. Oil 5W40 motul xcess. Running an APR K04 3 BAR RACE FILE 28 psi tune and car is almost gunned every single time. Hoping to make the engine last with liqui moly oil saver and no smoke additives. Odometer: 1,39,000 kms.
The E36 looks great , as for wheel weights there are many different profiles you can obtain or cut the old ones down and spread them out or use a hammer , its only lead.
