Very good depiction,although felt slightly rushed for 1day. 1big thing that I thought was missing that really needed to be shown was the difference in character of the abuser inside and outside of the house. Outside of the house he would display a charming helpful person, the complete opposite of the nasty, aggressive, domineering one he played in the home

She didnt even want to drink. And then he was mad she was drunk. He pushed her off his arm when she wanted to touch him, but turned around and raped her after she passed out from the alcohol he made her have.

Some countries have to lower the rent, so it is easier to get away quickly. It takes some time to collect the money to move

I have a kid from my x husband abusive narcissistic sick man ,i divorce him and got the some management of my kid but I couldn’t report him as an abuser bcz my lawyer play with my case to protect him (lawyer from genesis women shelter) they told me not to get police order or fight him for money or abuse bcz he will be after me and my child ,I try to fight them and refuse to get an agreement but they made an agreement without my permission and every time we have a hearing they ask me I don’t have right to show up in the court ,at the end I lost all my right to protect my self and my child I lost the hole amount of child support I’m getting what he want to give I fire 5 lawyer one after the other bcz they were doing thing in my back and they didn’t do their job to protect me and my child ,and I’m still under his control and emotional abuse , when I call the police they don’t help they don’t care ,when I call the court they don’t care or help the lawyer to no body care about our kids safety no body organisation or domestic violent shelter can give u a place where to stay for some time and some food and clothes that’s it they wont protect you they wont fight for you they wont care for your kids …… 😢they help who they want with what they wont ….they open this organisation to get donations and money and make their families and friends work with them and get money ,when I was in the shelter,the employees will get clothes and food that supposed to be given to the women and kids in the shelter bcz they don’t have a safe place and enough food or Clothes bc they run from their homes naked or with underwear’s to safe their life ,my friend husband open her arms with a knife it was so deep they take him to jail one night than he left in the morning (he pay) that’s the truth the law is made the protect people who have money and power it made to protect males……

People are CHOOSING not to respect other humans....! It's not just at home, in business, in positions of authority... Domestic abuse is an issue, and yet, it's a consequence of a deeper relating issue....if we choose to be kind here but not there, with one person yet not another..... Incentives in our global model of reality prays and encourage abuse. And it's called business. Raping planet of resources.... It's a micro - macro issue.... Nice film, and glad it helps on a micro level, individually, for someone to understand what is happening to them.

I am scared

I have been in this relationship. When I was in my mid to early 20s, I had met an older man that I liked very much, but he fell head over heels in love with me. That I was so young, and so inexperienced with men and relationships. I had no idea what was happening to me. Nothing ever starts out bad nothing ever starts out in a way that makes want to you run away. In the beginning, it was the love bombing, the beautiful and expensive gifts, the unexpected trips. Him, being an individual who knew everything did everything, and was so overly experienced. However, little by little things began to change. Information and stories that I had told him about my family Suddenly became weapons for him to use for me not to visit my family. Telling me that I was the greatest thing that ever happened to him and that I truly needed him to survive. Then the bad behavior started calling me every minute at school, wanting to know where I was, and how come, I wasn’t there when he calls me. Questioning who I was with why I was with them and so on. Then he would make up, lies, stating that he saw me somewhere. I’m strange guy, when there was nothing further than the truth. If I was at the library, talking to a classmate who happen to be male, he would question me for hours why would I be studying with him when I could be studying by myself. I began to lose an obscene amount of weight, because he would say I was beautiful, but I would be even more lovely if I just lost 10-20 . Once he had compared me to Claudia Schiffer. Saying that I could look just like her. If only I lost 25 pounds. I then said well she gets paid to starve herself, I don’t. She is also close to 6 feet tall. I am only 5’5”. He would then get extremely angry through and break things. It truly was a no-win situation. Finally, when I had confessed to one of my friends, she told me that I needed to speak to someone and a battered women shelter to get some help. First, I thought I’m not a battered woman I don’t have bruises, he doesn’t beat me. But something inside me told me to go. I literally left him the very next day. It wasn’t as easy as you may think. He broke into my apartment several times and shattered everything in the apartment. But I did it I got away, of course I have a lot of scars from it emotionally and mentally. But I did it.❤

1 in 3 victims are male?! That's bs perpetrated by the male abusers: often they are such slick con artists that they convince the police that they are the victims. I know this from experience. Luckily the charges were dropped after a jail guard saw the bruises on my body when I was changing, took pics and sent them to the DA.
