This is one of those classics that you just keep coming back to watch once every few years. Mono did such a great job. Still the best halo event run IMO
Such simpler times, chillin on the couch and just enjoying video games, and that one guy at every event with the loud high pitched laugh who I absolutely love (guy on the right in the white hat)
Imagine you're just trying to fulfill the Great Journey and instead you get killed by Johnson, the Arbiter, Johnson, and Johnson in a drive-by shooting while inside of Halo's control room.
Still one of the best live speedruns I've ever seen. The host's personality is great, combined with the dude on the couch that is knowledgeable enough to give info on what's going on when the host is too busy with the stunts or tricks. It feels more like a shared little lan party of a dude showing some crazy cool tricks he can do than a speedrun, and I like it.
How do you get the camo for Gravemind? Just getting back into Halo MCC and the titular Monopolised ach is the only single player ach I have left. Any help appreciated. 🙏.
Today is December 5th, 2023 Nearly 10 years later from this video (And run) and I still come back to watching this run by Monopoli because it was just that legendary.
I love the vibes of old GDQ. Just a bunch of nerds chilling on a couch bantering and having fun while speedrunning. A far cry from how sterilized and politically correct modern GDQ is.
The library is one of my favorite levels. The buttons on the screen icon can be punched instead of shot, but that's obviously slower. Voice acting not terrible??? The VA in Halo 2 is legendary.
Love coming back to watch this run every few years or so. Definitely my favourite run from GDQ of all time, the vibe, commentary and atmosphere is just so good. Mono is just a cool guy to watch too. Love this game so much!
This is a great run and everyone is wholesome and positive. Mono is fantastic, and I especially love Reed's commentary from the couch. I have to say though, it is pretty uncool to join the runners couch without being invited (the last person halfway through). Here it seems like an uninformed woman told this man it was okay (it's not). The couch is for friends of the runner who have invited to prepare explanations and provide entertaining commentary. This is not for someone who is just a fan to join in and get involved. Not a huge deal, but definitely frowned upon.

What happened to the guy with the cat plush? I saw somebody talk to him and he got visibly upset; and he ended up leaving almost five minutes later, but not before he handed over a mic. I wanna know the story.
I keep coming back to this run as it is without a doubt the best legendary speedrun of a halo franchise game at GDQ. MisterMonopoli is an absolute brute at this game, the commentary and atmosphere is amazing and Halo II legendary is without a doubt the most brutally unforgiving game of the entire franchise, which makes for some really tense moments. Loving every second of this. <3
