Hello I want to model a themo-hydro-mechanical analysis. As you know, Abaqus in the SOIL option just considers a fluid. But I want to calculate the pore pressure more detaild. How do you think I can add a more accurate analysis of the temperature-dependent pore pressure to the thermal-mechanical analysis? Is it necessary to write the entire process of hydro-thermal-mechanical analysis with UEL subroutine or can only pore pressure be added in each increment to thermal-mechanical analysis, i.e. use the sequentially coupled method via inpute file or UEL sobroutine? Hi, If you mean to define a parameter for that in the settings, there isn't such thing; the shear failure will be calculated by the Abaqus based on the compressive and tensile material properties you have provided.

The English should be improved overall. An example: at 7:34 "The strain is abstained....the curvature is abstained..." should be "The strain is obtained" because "to abstain" means means "to not to do something", "to refrain" etc

Hi, thanks for your comment. I don't understand your question completely. can you be more specific? All I can say now to import a model in Abaqus, you have to use the "Import" option from the "File" menu.

At 16:00, it is stated that NTENS=12, but I couldn't understand it. Isn't the NTENS=6, and the total number of variables for strain is 12 which also makes dependent variables 12.

Hi, that depends on your relations and formulas for the FGM material. Besides, converting the USDFLD to VUSDFLD is not easy because in each one the definition of the variables could be different. If you are interested, you can get the full tutorial, which its link in the description.

How to plot residual stress ?

Hello, First you need to obtain the residual stress of your model. One way to model residual stress is to use "Predefined Field" tool in Abaqus. next, it's better to create a path of nodes or edges of the region of your model where you need to analyze the residual stress. after that use the "Create XY Data" tool to plot.

Hi, thanks for your comment. You see only these two options (Thermo-mechanical and eigenstrain) because that is the newer version of the AM Modeler. In this part of video, it is showing the older version, which have three options.

I have problem, I am modelling a 3 point bending system. I need to applu a boundary condition of 200 mm on the centre. The displacement is at 5 mm/min. Now I am not getting what values do i need to put in Time period, Initial, Minimum and maximum increments. Can you please explain me that?

The reason for the errors might be because of the writing subroutine principles, which sometimes get tricky, and in the video, you shared its link, he may did not explain everything or make some simple mistakes, or you did. The writing subroutine and coding techniques must be learned. You can define as many steps as you need for your simulation if it is logical in the simulation; you can do this using a python script which as so happens you can find an example of it in the videos of this package: caeassistant.com/product/python-scripting-in-abaqus-part1/ caeassistant.com/product/python-scripting-in-abaqus-part-2/

Hello, thank you for your compliment. The time period in Abaqus explicit means the physical time of your analysis. It determines how long your analysis want to simulate. For example impact simulation with step time equal 3 means that 3 seconds of the process will be simulated.

Thank you for the video, but when I am using the truss elements i.e T3D2, I am getting the Warning "Solver problem. Numerical singularity when processing node TRUSS-1.8 D.O.F. 3 ratio = 4.21658E+15." How to avoid such a problem.. Can u suggest me... Thank You....

Hello, thanks for your comment. check these three things in your model: 1. Check your material properties. 2. Check the Displacement you applied in your model; it might be too high for your model. 3. Check the number of elements. In a truss, each member of it must be assigned to only one element. After you checked the items above, if the problem still exists, your model must be checked completely.

Hi, thanks for your comment. There is no conflict between them. First, the velocity is applied in the initial step and then the pressure in step-1. If you mean something else or have any other questions, please explain more.

I am using VUMAt code and i am applying a predefined velocity in intial on the ball and applying pressure on top frame in step one. I need all my boundary conditions and pressure on the frame has to be applied before the ball hits plate. so how can i do it

@@ahmadturani8203 as far as i understand, it is a commercial for the tutorials. The vumat implementation takes time and effort which should be compensated somehow. One cannot expect people to work for free

Since it is not a popular topic at the moment. I suggest lowering the course price or discount for the 1st time purchase. I can learn myself to implement Beso employing python to Abaqus within under a week with close to zero experience of coding (I am only familiar to use the given modules from commercial software) then you should probably consider my suggestion.
