The Geological Society of Minnesota is a nonprofit educational organization in operation since 1938. Our mission has been to promote public interest and to supply educational support in the geological sciences.

GSM's seminars with PowerPoint presentations are free and open to the public. They are presented by leading professionals in their fields and are aimed at learners from high school to adult. A question-and-answer sessions follows each seminars.

Because of Covid, this season's lectures are being held over Zoom, and GSM has a unique opportunity to share the seminars with a wider audience. We hope you enjoy them, and invite you to explore more about our organization in the links below.

I discovered your lecture while searching for info on Northern Ontario geology - just as an interest for future backcountry/ fastpacking trips. Terrific lecture! Thanks for making it public.

Avana, I'm glad you found us! We've had a few talks on Antarctica now; seems to be sort of a pipeline of science from our region to the far south.

Short but sweet lecture, and great Q&A. Love the book, and highly recommend it to both history and rock nerds!
