I feel for you JWill. The crazy thing about this E38 is that it doesn’t happen every time I drive. It’s intermittent and my temp gauge doesn’t go up. I drove it about 50 miles yesterday and there were no leaks. I tried to replicate the issue but I couldn’t. I drove it today and I get the “check coolant level” alert. Sure enough the coolant is leaking in the same spot. I’m going to take it in in for a complete vehicle inspection at BMW in a few weeks. I’ll do a video on that experience because I’m sure they’ll give me a $7k laundry list on what needs to be addressed. 😂
@@JWillOfficial201 Yessir! That way you wont be wasting money on parts are perfectly fine. Best place to find the majority of coolant parts at decent prices for the E38 from my experience is FCP Euro. I’ve been pleased with the sub $100 radiators that Amazon and eBay have.
@@rocketcityclassiccars3969 those BMWs can be hard to get it to ride smooth, I had a white 5 series and tried putting 22s on it. I never got it to ride smooth no matter what I tried, always had a vibration around 70 to 80mph.
@@FJTabb I agree. Seems like the max you can go is 2inches above stock. I got some 19s (666M wheels) for the E38 that I’m rebuilding. Hopefully they’ll ride decent. Trying to do something other than M-Parallel.
@chefsal7068. When you order it you’ll get the option. You may have to go to BMW and get with a sales associate or use the “contact us” option on BMW’s main website if you don’t want to deal with the dealership. Additional charge for the color might be around $5k.
Best automobile on earth! --- Change the Timing Chains & Guides, Get you a new front and rear bumper cover for cheap from Rock auto and that car will last you for another 30 years !
Drove one and wasn’t overly impressed. Big problem with testing these out pre break in period is how they limit the RPMs now, so it’s very difficult to get a real feel for the vehicle. Also I think the upgraded suspension options are a must. They def killed the sound on these as well compared to the M50. No physical controls for AC, etc… idk, I think they’re going backwards in a number of respects. I’m still a BMW Fanboy but I think a lot of this new Gen is a miss.
Unfortunately no. BMW is going to drop putting V8s in the M550i. Only the M5 will have the V8. I don’t believe BMW will produce an M860i/V12 8series. They already have the M850i. Days of the V12 for BMW are long gone. The company plans on only producing electric vehicles later on this decade.
Just bought one of these 2024 x5 m60i in Brooklyn Grey about 10hrs in the engine light and steering light goes on, brought it back to the dealer and they said it can possibly be just a program issue or worse case a bad steering rack. I'm so bummed out, if it is a steering rack the parts may take a couple months from Germany since its so new. I really hope they can figure it out soon, its a sick car!
@Fletch if it's the steering rack they said it has to be shipped from Germany which it can be here by July, I'm just hoping it's a programing issue. It's being shipped out to WA where I live and the local dealer is going to re diagnos it again, I flew out to CA just to purchase this particular x5.
Looks great, add some exterior M Performance Carbon wing mirror caps, carbon rear diffuser and carbon side vents. It would match it up to the interior carbon.
