Yeah lmao, it happened about 2 months ago with an m1 garand when I was messing with it trying to see why it was ejecting the clip at the last round really weakly and it slammed home and took my thumb with it 😂
After thinking about it. It had to have been the user error lol. I probably didn't have it tightened down enough and after shooting through it so much it had backed out some and wasn't in full concentricity with everything. I double check as I'm shooting now and have yet to have any other issues so I think I'm to blame for that problem
How’s it run on your Glock? I keep hearing mix reviews on suppressing a g17 and I’m torn on if I should buy an entire new handgun just for my new can I’m waiting on
I haven't ran it a ton on the glock, on the 19 I have it seems to run pretty well other than the failure to feed I had a couple times, it ran perfect in the k configuration but in full size there was that issue 2 times in probably 50 or 60 rds. I'm not sure how it would be on a g17. Thats one I haven't reviewed a lot but it sounds great out of the platform. I'm planning on doing some shooting this weekend and I'll try to get some video of it and post something on here running a few mags through it for you so you can see for yourself what kind of tones and cycle to expect from different ammo weights.
Congrats on the channel and welcome to the community……. I’m actually waiting for my obsidian 9 to get approved (I have a Deadair but needed one for my 9mm pistols and PCC’s)….. I ran mine with subs and supers in the full configuration….. I’ll be doing a full video when I get I home. Just sub’d. Keep going Bro….
Thanks brother I really appreciate the support. I plan on adding a ton of videos once it warms up a little more and im able to get over to my range without freezing or getting rained out. I still haven't picked up any other cans yet but really want one I can run on my 308. You will love the obsidian. Since this video I've picked up a few more hosts for it. It does exceptionally well on subsonic 300 black out and any 38 special
In a nutshell yes, there are different ways to attach it to each host. Like if you have one with a tilting barrel like a glock or even a beretta where it doesn't completely tilt its still not a fixed barrel so you leave your booster assembly on for those hosts. If you have a fixed host like a ruger mk4 22lr then you would simply take the spring off the booster and put the fixed barrel spacer on and you're good to go. You would use a direct thread or the fixed barrel spacer for anything that doesn't have a tilted barrel basically. Rugged has a lot of different options. I run this on a number of hosts and recommend it highly to anyone looking to get into suppressed shooting just because how versatile it is. I run it on several pistols and a few different rifles like my 22 bolt action and a 357/38 special lever action and a bolt 300 black out. It will be nice yo eventually have designated cans for each but in the mean time I can enjoy a lot out of just one tax stamp. I hope tgis helps man. Good luck!
So can you just screw that off of a 9mm and screw it on a 22 or a 350 legend and it will work? Thanks for the video I’m new to the suppressor world and I’m looking into getting one.
Post for the Algorithm: I just received my 7th suppressor which I ordered in two separate batches from silencer central. First go round in 2021 (3 cans) took 14 months via trust and paper file, next batch (4 cans) via the same trust and E-file took 3 months. I bought several different brands and have them on dedicated rifles and pistols.
I always make sure I swap it in accordance to the host as far as the mount goes. Anything with a fixed barrel get the spacer and tilting gets the booster. I've got the 3 lug mount for my ap5.
Definitely hearing safe in full configuration with subsonic 9mm. It's not too bad in k configuration, but i won't shoot multiple mags that way without some hearing safety. They will hear the 9mm for sure if they are outside even in full size length. Its about like a nail gun you would hear someone using to put shingles on a roof. Maybe a tad more quiet, but if you throw it on a 22 with some sub ammo even if they're outside, I highly doubt they will hear anything. I shot a mole the other day with it on my mk 4 22/45 lite and with subs, it is more quiet than a BB gun, you just hear the action of the gun. No boom or crack, wind or anything.
