Also, someone mentioned when retiming that it's better to click Optical Flow when doing this, and setting motion estimation to Enhanced Better. Speed warp is only available in the full paid version of Resolve, I believe.
This prob the only thing I hate about davinci because when you slow down the footage and then you put in a 24fps timeline it looks choppy but in the 60fps timeline looks fine but when you render the slow motion doesn’t look cinematic. 😢
I always film in 60fps but let say I have different clips with different frame rates and change clip that is 60fps attributes to 24fps to slow it down that way. If I put it in new timeline that’s 24 it will look poopy unless I render that timeline at 60fps. So the goal is to render at 24fps . Idk how to explain correctly. But yes
I think you have a defective lens. I own the whole series and I've never noticed anything, knowing that I shoot in full manual and disable everything. On the Sirui Facebook group, no one has reported this issue yet
That is my favorite lens Tamron 28-75mm f2.8. You have to pick one up. They are used for $500 and have such an amazing image. Also fantastic for photography. I like it more than the Sigma 24-70mm f2.8 and any of my other Sony lenses. Also check out the Tamron 50-300mm. I am going to do a review on that lens. It is so light 1.5lb and perfect for portraits as well as wildlife.
awesome tutorial and expalining, really helpful to know that is was so simple. one tip thought, giving people the information faster would be way better for your videos, maybe not 3 min but 1 min at max, althought good video!
So after using your method, if there is a clip I need to slow down, how can I use my 60 FPS footage to create slow motion on a 30 FPS timeline in DaVinci Resolve? Is the best way to right-click the clip in your timeline, select "Change Speed," and slow it down there, or is there a better way to ensure the best slow-motion quality?
The frames are still there. You can still slow it down. I do it all the time dumping 4k 120fps in a 4k 24fps timeline and can slow it down to 25% with it looking super smooth.
HI Nice review, thanks ! With regards to the horrible "wobbles" ( trembling background ), could it be that you did not set your IBIS to the focal length of 35mm ? In my experience, this makes a difference on how IBIS compensates for a specific focal length on manual lenses ( non Sony ) !?
Since you use APS-C these are fantastic. The Snipers are autofocus but I feel lack the character of these. Still the Sniper is $240 on eBay for a 24mm f1.2 which is crazy low
How you not understand? He's simply mad af that his girl broke up with him in an email and dude stuck in prison. Not everything had to be a handed out to you. If you didn't skit the video you'd pick up on it
