Thanks for posting. You're running it well. Have you had any issues or made any customizations to it? I have one and love it, but my slide fitment isn't the best. It seems as if that started after I put in a lighter Atlas recoil spring.
Thank you for the kind words! Well, Knock on wood! I haven’t had one issue yet that I can remember. Thing just runs. I did try a nitro fin, but didn’t like that it would lock the slide back if my weak hand was too high. Went back to the stock slide stop. Thank you for watching.
Love the upgrades! I’m currently looking into getting one. I just picked up an Apollo 11…. Love it. Hopefully this next one is equally amazing. Thanks for sharing. Just sub’d.
Golds not for me. If this was black or stainless or even fde i think itd look way better but that my opinion if golds ur thing than cool. But awesome gun anyways 1 day hopefully i can afford 1 of these beasts
I haven’t tried, but I couldn’t find a “cheap” module either. I was thinking about getting a Airsoft Clone but decided to add skate tape instead and it’s now amazing. Stay tuned for the next update video.
Why would you fill the guide rod with anything. Its an all steel 1911. And 9 mm, not even 45. It's not like there is muzzle flip on the thing. You try and fill the guide rod with something I bet you will have problems.
The gun is heavy. Bull barrel... steel frame... steel slide. Why would you think of adding weight to a gun that is largely metal, that is also chambered in 9mm? It's not like 9mm is a hard recoiling round. My wife shoots a half polymer compact gun, chambered in 9mm, and has no problems. You were just looking to complain about something.
I've got a 507 comp on mine, and it is exactly 0/3rd co-witness. All of the videos on this pistol, and my dot sitting on the body of the RDS with no sights....err...in sight, say different.🤷♂️
Have a red dirt trigger, 12lb recoil/17lb hammer and tuned sear spring in mine and it shoots night and day better. Lighter mag release spring and a Staccato p grip module also helps with the ergos’s
many swap the safeties for bigger ones on 2011 or DS 1911s.. because they ride them.. they even make shielded ones, so you don't ride the slide.. other commenter is just mad about his tiny weenis or something. lol
I've owned 2 staccato p's in the past. Now i own this,& i honest don't c a point in ever getting a staccato p again. The thing is awesome & comes with rmr plate with rear sight, magwell, & barrel is not a stupid stainless color which i hate because it gets dirty quick. Yes i know pay extra for a black from staccato. Anyway, this thing is great!tight tolerances & all. I highly recommend it
The trigger shoe is definetly metal lol. First thing I would do is tune the extractor and adjust the trigger sear to get the trigger weight down to 3.5lbs, swap the recoil spring for an 11 or 12lb, and the hammer spring for a 17lb. If I remember right the optics plate will take glock sights.
%99 of 1911 guys complains about big thump safetys and you are one of the %1 guys..congratulations! and also one of the other problem with this gun is that you are the owner of this gun, very unfortunate for it..
I love my MAC and have already began tweakin it as an R&D platform. A lot of times the ambi SEEMS thinner, because the left side has to be cut out for the plunger tube. I've already replaced the safety with a shielded one. Mine came RMR cc cut, but with a plate for RMR. Extra MS Housing pin, for when you don't run the magwell. Nice review SUBBED!
Look into the Viridian Fx35! Put mine on my Bul and it is now one of my favorites. Rocking the 507 comp on my Phoenix Trinity as well, love it comes with an rmr footprint and no weird plate adapter like other holosuns. Cant wait to see a range report. Of all the Turkish 2011s this one is looking the most promising. Thanks for sharing!
Warning to all. Locking block is a consumable part, which PT will deny and blame you for not lubricating. Barrel links in traditional 1911s are consumable and will fail around 50K rounds by design. They cost 5 dollars and no down time. PT locking block will cost you $250 and up to a year down time. When PT goes out of business for not being honest and blaming their customers for their designs, you will have a multi thousand dollar broken paper weight. The pistol probably will shoot like a dream, until it doesn't and you get blamed. Oh, also, if you don't clean and lube a 1911/2011, it stops cycling and will just require cleaning. PTs will apparently break for not lubing, according PT customer service.
